Three Hundred Articles of Spufiness

300 articles. Yay me.
300 articles. Yay me.

This is my 300th published article on this blog. Or about that, I’m not 100% sure, I just know that I’ve got approximately 300 articles published. Considering that we’re nearing 800 articles (I KNOW, RIGHT?), that’s pretty impressive. Of course, aabicus has written a lot of articles too, but he had a head start by, you know, creating this blog. Then again, I just checked and he’s for 224 articles total.

That’s over 500 articles about Team Fortress 2 and other related video games. Written by two people in their free time. Then another 200 or so articles written by a combination of other people. Mostly about one single video game. It’s fucking amazing when you think about it.

So how have we managed to get this far? Sheer damn determination. Aabicus said this was a daily blog. He gave it to me, telling me it would be a daily blog. I’ll be damned if I’ll let it not be daily. I’ve only ever missed a couple of days, and they were either because my internet was broken or the Daily SPUF itself was broken. I am one determined bitch. And you all must be pretty determined too. Or at least stubborn, since you’ve sat through all my whinging and whining and all that.

No, seriously, you all keep me afloat. I would have given up ages ago if it wasn’t for the fact that some of you are insane enough to read mine and aaby’s drivel and persuade us to write on. And let’s be honest, some of those 300 articles I have written have been pretty poor. There’s been plenty of good articles too. I don’t think I could actually pick out a favourite though. Why? Because I’ve written 300 articles and can’t remember half of them.

Some of them aren’t actually articles at all, they’re Dear Aaby questions that I’ve asked. Speaking of which, I never did get around to changing the name of that section. But Dear Aaby covers it quite well. It also has the bonus of sounding like an Agony Aunt of sorts. Gives the blog a more friendly feel. As friendly as you get, considering it’s a blog about a video game about shooting people. Oh well.

So yeah, there’s not really much more to say. I could thank you all again for sticking around this long, but I don’t want you all to get sick and tired of me. That is possible, I’m likable but not THAT likable.

Oh, who am I kidding? Gimme a hug.

See you at the 800th blog post, maybe? Or perhaps I’ll save it for the big 1000. We’ve already past 750. This also concludes the long, Medic-Articles-Only week, so if you’ve got something to say, say it!
