The Six Hundred and Seventieth Article

Out of all the numbers out there, I really like the number 70. I’ve never really understood why. It’s just a neat number. Not really divisible by much. Not particularly interesting. But it looks nice. Clean almost. Why am I talking about the number 70? Because I missed my 666th article due to A Week of Love and Hate 3, and I didn’t want to wait until my 700th article, even though it’s the number 700 and 700 is way more impressive than 70. But still, here I am, publishing my 670th article. Complete with images that have nothing to… [Continue Reading]

What the Hell is Lunaro?

Okay. What was that? Why was that in my Warframe? What purpose does it have? Why is it called Lunaro? What does that even mean? Why am I writing an article about it? One sec. Let me explain. It all started when I joined a new clan after I was kicked out of my old one. The old clan was small and tiny and no one ever used it apart from trading. This new clan is a bit bigger, they let me contribute to things and people actually use it to actually talk to each other occasionally. Turns out, the… [Continue Reading]

Yooka-Stealthay

Spy Chameleon – RGB Agent is an arcade-y puzzle game that has you playing as a sly chameleon shifting your colour in order to slip undetected through the environment to the finish line. Of course, this starts off very simple with the bare basics as you can see below, but it quickly bares its teeth with its difficulty. There are checkpoints scattered around the longer levels but some people still found the game irritating, fortunately the devs listened and threw in an easy mode. Easy replaced “normal” and normal became “hard” mode for those who enjoyed the “skin of your… [Continue Reading]

Left 4 Dead’s Bill Added to Dead By Daylight

Dead by Daylight, a game produced by Starbreeze Studios of Payday 2 fame, has announced a Left 4 Dead 2 crossover DLC that adds veteran zombie-fighter Bill Overbeck as a playable character! Dead By Daylight is an asymmetrical multiplayer game where four players assume the role of survivors trapped in a hellish forestscape, looking desperately for an escape while a fifth player controls a deranged killer hunting them down and sacrificing them to a chthonic entity. According to the lore, Bill woke up in this otherwordly purgatory after sacrificing himself in Left 4 Dead 2‘s ‘The Sacrifice’ campaign, and immediately dedicated his life… [Continue Reading]

Octavia’s Anthem – The Trouble with Cephalons

On Friday 24th, Update 20 came out for Warframe. Dubbed Octavia’s Anthem, it boasted “30 pages” of updates, fixes and changes. They were not wrong. The update was just over 1GB to download, amd featured the new Warframe Octavia, as well as the quest to obtain her. Octavia’s Anthem is an… interesting quest to say the least. NOTE: SPOILERS AHEAD. I can’t really write a non-spoiler-y review of this quest as it is SUPER lore-heavy. As always, you have to talk to someone. If you have access to the quest (which requires the War Within to be completed), you can… [Continue Reading]

I “hate” Dust2

There are many articles about what makes Dust2 a good map, about what makes it popular, and so on and so forth. However there are also many reasons as to why one would dislike Dust2 and that is what this article is about. Now don’t get me wrong popular maps are usually pretty good right? Unfortunately in a game like CS:GO popularity is also a downside. Because it means even if you add other choices into the mix you will still get the popular map 85-90% of the time. Which means a map like Dust2 is gonna get real stale real… [Continue Reading]

Messy Love with Thundermountain

Ever wanted to play a payload map which has everything: twisty turns, multi-layered battlegrounds, notable sight-lines to please every Sniper in Badlands and of course everyone’s favorite chokepoints where things like to stalemate and action goes on non-stop. Well, Thundermountain may be for you, or not if you are looking for a quality experience. It is a map which wants to be jack-of-all-trades; it has something for everyone but it doesn’t do it exactly in a tasteful way. To put it more simply, it is a mess. However, as much as I want to hate and rant about this map… [Continue Reading]

I Love dm_duel_v1

I remember the feeling of instant buyer’s remorse upon playing Team Fortress 2. Because the person who introduced me to it invited me to an empty 2fort server. It had nothing to do with the game itself but rather the family Windows XP I was playing it on chugging and spluttering. It was trying its damnedest to impress me, but the frame rate was abysmal. I, being the young, naive and incredibly handsome hero of this story, thought it would work flawlessly if I simply belieeeeeeved! For reasons unknown to even the greatest of scientists, this approach simply didn’t work. But… [Continue Reading]

Bad Badwater

You play enough of a map, eventually you become good at it. You learn all the nooks and crannies, all the secret little hideouts, the best places to do X and Y and Z. And maybe eventually you’ll realise you’ve wasted a ton of your life on one single map and should probably move on and learn about the vast number of other maps out there. Or maybe you’re all normal people who, unlike me, play more than one map at a time. Maybe, maybe not. One of the many maps though that pops up on a regular basis is… [Continue Reading]

The Forbidden Love

CP_Junction is a horrible, horrible map. As in, super horrible. As in, if it pops up on map rotation, I recommend ditching immediately. It’s a disaster of a map for anyone who isn’t playing Engineer. The first thing you notice about Junction is how boring it is. Junction is indoors. It’s dark, gloomy, and overly grey. It’s cramped and tight. There are tight spaces everywhere. The whole thing just doesn’t work. It’s not appealing to look at in any way. The other indoor map, Turbine, makes up for it by having the large middle room which looks somewhat interesting, and… [Continue Reading]
