Grubbin Community Day

I do often wonder how Niantic decide on who and what gets a community day and when. For September 2023, we got Grubbin, the small bug type Pokemon that evolves into the bug and electric type Vikavolt. Why did we get Grubbin? No idea. But either way, we got a new shiny and a technically new move. The bonuses for the community day were alright. Triple catch XP is always a welcome sight, but Grubbin isn’t the easiest to get excellent throws on. Luckily, Grubbin is pretty easy to catch, so you get that extra First Ball experience. There weren’t… [Continue Reading]

Drifter on the Circuit

So, a few times now, I’ve ended up stuck as Drifter on the Circuit. It’s not particularly fun though. In fact, it’s the opposite of fun. I hate it. And it’s not even how you’re supposed to play the Circuit. Unfortunately, if you don’t load in fast enough, you end up playing as Drifter, having not chosen a weapon or even a Warframe. For reasons unknown, instead of just spawning you in with random gear (or the first option on all weapons and Warframes), you just spawn in as Drifter. The Circuit is a place designed for Warframes, with their… [Continue Reading]

Something Needs To Be Done About Host Migration

The other day, I lost 45 minutes of Steel Path Circuit progress, due to a random host migration. I’ve got no idea what happened, because I was in a call with some friends, yet there I was, no longer with my squad. After a lot of waiting, I was taken back to my ship, with no option to rejoin my squad or anything. I didn’t even get a Mission Complete or Mission Failed screen. I got nothing. Frankly, I was pretty pissed off. My relationship with Warframe has been stretched as of late, and after losing all that progress, I… [Continue Reading]

On Hunting Bugs

Bugs and glitches; they are absolutely everywhere. Anyone or anything that claims to be completely, 100% bug-free is probably lying. There’s bugs in everything. At the same time, there are tons of people trying to squash all these bugs. Programmers and developers can spend huge amounts of man hours trying to find bugs and fix them. I’m potentially one of those people. Sometimes, bugs somehow squeeze their way in all unexpected. This is doubly true for things like WordPress, which generally have tons of plugins and themes, all often made by third parties. With so much going on, a bug… [Continue Reading]

Little Things I’d Like To See Fixed or Changed in Warframe

One of the nice things about Warframe is that every update is free, and so are all the bugs and glitches and stuff. However, these things are quickly patched up in hotfixes. However, there are tons of tiny little things that can sit unfixed for a long, long time. Sometimes, they’re not really actually broken, they’re just… not very good. They’re little things I’d like to see fixed or changed. Blast Procs Blast used to be my favourite damage type. It was amazing, because it could ragdoll enemies and send them flying. Blast is the reason I kept the Sonicor… [Continue Reading]

A Very Large GPS Drift

Since I’ve got a newer, more modern phone, I don’t get that much GPS drift any more. Sometimes, with all location-based games and apps, GPS signals can get blocked. After all, GPS is tied to a massive system of satellites which communicate and triangulate together. Most of the time, this GPS drift is very short and always snaps back after a few moments. However, one day, I went on a really nice trip, according to my GPS. The GPS was slow at first. It was just doing what it normally does, wandering to and from the Pokestop by my house.… [Continue Reading]

A Good Launch for a New War

Alright, folks, today’s article is a little bit weird. While I will be discussing more about the New War’s contents in other articles, I actually have something very specific in mind. Today, I want to talk about how relatively good the launch was for New War. It’s actually quite interesting to me. Editor’s note: Before we start, this is just one experience. Other players may experience things differently. Weirdly Smooth For me, personally, the whole launch was weirdly smooth. While my launcher did get stuck at 99% for a bit, that was honestly the only hitch I had in a… [Continue Reading]

The 5 Weirdest Warframe Bugs I’ve Seen

Warframe is a video game. Because it is a video game, it is sometimes hit by bugs. If you read through Reddit and the Warframe forums, you’d think Warframe is the buggiest game ever. It’s not, but it does have its fair share of bugs. After all, there’s an entire command, /unstuck, which is supposed to get you out of terrain you’re trapped in. Then again, Skyrim exists. You need official patches, unofficial patches and patches for the unofficial patches for that mess. So yeah, Warframe DOES have a few bugs, many of which are tied to hosting and peer-to-peer… [Continue Reading]

The Mysterious Case of the Broken Index Mission

Nightwave being back means that there’s always a bunch of somewhat obscure elite, weekly tasks for us to do. For the first week of Nightwave, we got two somewhat tricky tasks – to kill or capture a Hydralyst and to complete three rounds in a row in the Index without the Corpus scoring any points. Neither of these are that difficult but they can be a pain in the ass if you’re unprepared. So of course, I went to do this Index task only slightly prepared. Knowing that the Corpus can be sneaky bastards, I took Khora, who has a… [Continue Reading]

The Old Wheel Map

One of the unique things about the Daily SPUF is our ability to write very detailed articles on very small, specific things. Sometimes multiple articles, if the very small, specific things become big enough. Today, I’m going to do that again, not for a Team Fortress 2 thing or a Warframe thing, but for a map in Gang Beasts. The Wheel map has been around for a long time in Gang Beasts. It is a Ferris Wheel on a platform in the middle of an ocean. The wheel has 8 compartments and constantly spins round in one direction. The platform… [Continue Reading]
