The New Eximus Enemies Are REALLY Tough!

Alongside the Angels of the Zariman update, we actually got not one but two reworks for older systems. Focus, which is what Operators use to make themselves strong, got a weird rework which shook up Focus overall. But we also got an enemy rework. More specifically, we got a rework for Eximus enemies. You know, those weirdly larger enemies that have more health and a variety of passive effects. The rework was aimed at updating Eximi into more noticeable and powerful enemies, rather than the weird enemies with auras that they were. Basically, we all wanted Eximus enemies to be… [Continue Reading]

How I’d Rework Yareli

I’m going to honest here, Yareli isn’t that great a Warframe. She’s too small and cute to be chopping Grineer in half. But Yareli’s biggest problem is that, well, she doesn’t do that much. There’s no niche for Yareli to claw out for herself, and most other frames are more useful. But not all is lost. Digital Extremes are known to buff weaker Warframes. However, WHEN a Warframe gets reworked is often somewhat random. And if it’s not random, it’s close to a release date for a Warframe’s Prime variant. In the mean time though, I’d like to have a… [Continue Reading]

The current state of Destiny 2 – Content Removal Edition

As you might have heard through multiple news sources, Destiny 2 is getting a massive rework on November. One concerning fact is that 4 locations are becoming inaccessible after Beyond Light. Before we get into why is this happening we got to take a look at the bigger picture regarding how many barriers are set up for new players and how much relevant content you can play currently. A quick recap on the story: To address the elephant in the room, those monolithic Pyramids were part of the main plot on the Shadowkeep expansion. One derelict was found buried under… [Continue Reading]

The Ember Rework from Someone Who Hasn’t Played With the Ember Rework Yet

That title up there is a pretty weird one, isn’t it? How can I sit here and judge a rework for Ember when I haven’t even really played Ember since said rework? I’ve judged Ember in the past (especially since she was one of the earlier Primed frames I built) but I’ve never claimed to main Ember or really play her in any meaningful way. That being said, I have a clan mate who always liked Ember and has a very nice magenta and gold colour scheme for her, matching all the other female magenta and gold-coloured Warframe Articulars in… [Continue Reading]

The Vauban Rework in the Eyes of a Non-Vauban Player

With all the Warframe I’ve been playing lately, I kinda forgot about the Vauban and Ember reworks, to the point that I haven’t even played Ember yet. In fact, Ember remained in my arsenal at level 22, after I stuck a Forma in her to see what all her fire effects looked like with two energy colours instead of one. No, it wasn’t as impressive as Nezha was with his flaming trail. Vauban on the other hand, I managed to get Vauban and Vauban Prime in the days where Vauban was available only from alerts and Vauban Prime was still… [Continue Reading]

A Stupid Idea for An Ember Rework

When I first started playing Warframe, I was always in awe at the pretty flaming Warframe with the fiery Mohawk and the cool flaming explosions that would kill most enemies on the map. As I continued playing Warframe, I realised that I was seeing less and less of Ember, and that map nukers often ended up being Mesas or Equinoxes or Saryns. These days, I don’t see Ember at all, and I’m the one nuking an entire map with my high range and duration Volt build. So what happened to Ember? Two things happened. Firstly Ember got hit with some… [Continue Reading]

A Stupid Idea for A Vauban Rework

Vauban is a sad, sad Warframe. Over the years, Vauban has become weaker and weaker and weaker. Not because he has been nerfed repeatedly, but because so many other frames have come out over the years that provide better crowd control than Vauban does and almost all other frames have better ways of dealing damage to enemies. Not to mention the fact that the best crowd control tends to be death, which Vauban doesn’t really deal in. There’s a secondary issue too, that Vauban doesn’t really fit his theme. Vauban is named after Sébastien Le Prestre de Vauban, a French… [Continue Reading]

On Fortress Forever’s Huge Pyro Rework

The Team Fortress Classic Pyro sucks. I don’t care what the person in the comment section of that article says, she has almost no role to serve on the battlefield and does a miraculously bad job of filling her supposed niche of area-of-effect damage. Valve made some big changes to the class when creating Team Fortress 2, but they also tried to stay loyal to Pyro’s afterburn-based roots. For the longest time, Fortress Forever likewise attempted to create a more versatile afterburn Pyro by giving theirs some interesting mobility tools: he could ‘fly’ through the air by firing his flamethrower behind him, and his afterburn… [Continue Reading]
