Pokemon GO’s Beyond GO Update and Speculations Overall

Both my two main games right now have massive updates coming up. Warframe has Deimos Arcana, which may already out by the time you’re reading this. Pokemon GO on the other hand is going to have a MASSIVE update with huge changes. Not only will levels increase to level 50, but we’re going to be seeing changes to the spawning and more. The more technical places like the Silph Road are all over this stuff, and there’s a huge amount to talk about. And by huge, I mean huge. We’re basically talking about a fundamental change to Pokemon GO. Level… [Continue Reading]

The New Left 4 Dead 2 Update is Awesome

I had high hopes for the Last Stand update, and by golly it met and exceeded all of them! For those not in the loop, in early September we got our first teaser trailer for a brand new community-created update for Left 4 Dead 2. Since then, we recieved hints and tie-in trailers promising new weapons, new voicelines, new Survival maps, and all sorts of quality-of-life updates. And did it ever deliver on all fronts! I ran through the new campaign, The Last Stand, with three of my college friends and it was a grueling run, definitely a step-up on… [Continue Reading]

Left 4 Dead 2 Announces First New Campaign in over 8 Years

Well, this is certainly a surprise! Left 4 Dead 2 is getting a new campaign! The announcement came on Valve’s long-dead Left 4 Dead blog, and the full text is rather cryptic: It has been many years since the infection first hit. Radio silence, no sign of life, nothing but lingering hopes… CEDA is not going to save us. But there is hope! A few brave souls have continued the fight against all odds, and soon we can all benefit from their resilience. “The Last Stand” is an update for Left 4 Dead 2, created by the community, for the… [Continue Reading]

The Cambion Drift – Tripping Over Red, Brown, Red and More Red

The Cambion Drift is the third big open space in Warframe. We started off with a Grineer-plagued brown Plains of Eidolon. Then we moved on to the Corpus-filled, white-glare Orb Vallis. And now we have the Cambion Drift, a hellish landscape flooded with Infested and lots and lots of red. Seriously, it’s so red. While the Orb Vallis is mostly large amounts of white and grey with the odd speckling of blue, the Cambion Drift looks like an open wound. I’m not saying it’s bad, I’m saying it’s all very red. The only not-red things are all brown. There’s only… [Continue Reading]

A Quick Ramble About the Heart of Deimos Intro Quest

It’s kinda sad, really. I’m so damn exhausted for real life that I’m too tired to actually play video games. Despite the fact that the massive 3GB Heart of Deimos update just landed. Amazingly though, on my crappy internet, the download somehow went by quite quickly, and I got to at the very least play the intro quest. This quest is… not what I expected. I honestly didn’t think that a good 60% of the quest would be listening to family squabbles. By the way, this is going to be a SPOILER HEAVY ARTICLE. If you don’t want to be… [Continue Reading]

Okay the April Fools Minecraft Snapshot is Awesome…

Minecraft always gets the best April Fools jokes. Normally most April Fools jokes are temporary, but Minecraft always comes up with something cool. This year, Mojang came up with 20w14Infinite, a Minecraft Snapshot that includes, well, everything. Millions of different worlds, all in one, uh, world. All made by throwing books into Nether Portals The premise is simple. You take a Book and Quill, you write some gibberish in it, you close it and sign it and throw the book into a Nether Portal. The Nether Portal will change colour and, as you step inside, you are greeted with a… [Continue Reading]

The Revision and Refreshing Update Everyone Has Been Waiting For

The 139th Devstream claimed itself to be a boring update. It only had three of the normal staff and one of the developers themselves was claiming how boring it would be. Somehow though, Devstream 139 turned out to be one of the better Devstreams so far. Why? Because it contained everything that everyone has been asking for, for years. We were given a 20-ish point list of things, an agenda of what the next mainline update will be. All of it is awesome. Bug fixes, balance changes, improved data, all sorts. It’s almost everything players have been asking for. Seriously,… [Continue Reading]

Smoothing Down the Kuva Lich Grind

February brings with it a lot of things, like everything immediately being Valentines Day related and slathered in red. Warframe is kinda doing the same thing with a small Kuva Lich update, because those Liches sure do love being awful. Or perhaps not, as there’s a bunch of changes to Kuva Liches that make them far less awful to grind for. Yep, we got a Kuva Lich 1.5 update, and the changes are all round pretty damn good. To the point that I completely glossed over the fact that Ivara Deluxe is now available. The first and most important change… [Continue Reading]

SPACESHIPS! Retvik’s First Impressions on Empyrean

I missed the initial release. I’ll admit that. It happened at like 5am when I was fast asleep, tucked up in bed and dreaming of, well, not space ninjas. But as soon as I could get to my computer (after a Windows update or two, typically), I went and installed the 2.5GB update and went to see what was going on. Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately?) this happened at about 3:30pm my time, meaning I’d missed a lot of the initial rush and the rest of my clan jumping in. Sooo, Empyrean. The thing that comes after Rising Tides. The ability… [Continue Reading]

A Personalized Grineer Enemy, Just For You

The Old Blood, Warframe’s newest update, came out with only an hour to go before October ended for me, so I wasted sleeping time waiting for the game to update and load, so I could jump straight into the flesh of the new update: the Kuva Lich. Kuva Liches are enemies created solely to hunt you down. They start as frankly rather out of place Grineer workers that wander around level 20+ Grineer missions, picked out by Kuva Guardians to be blessed. When a little Kuvaling spawns, you’ll see a flash and a Kuva Guardian will mention that a Grineer… [Continue Reading]
