Oh hey, a random guide! I managed to get every Warframe in the game, you should be able to as well! Please note that you have to build each component first, then use them to build the complete Warframe. Components (Chassis, Neuroptics, Chassis) take 12 hours to build and Warframes take 3 days to build.
Let’s get started!
Ash’s components are obtained by killing Grineer Manics, with about 30% to drop each piece. Ash’s blueprint is available in the market. The best source of Grineer Manics is Grineer Survival or Defection missions.
Atlas’s blueprint is obtained at the end of the Jordas Precept after defeating the Jordas Golem. His components are available by defeating the Jordas Golem on the Jordas Assassinate mission node on Eris. Archwing is required for this – the Grattler Archwing Gun and Amesha Archwing obtained in Clan Dojos help speed things up.
Banshee’s components and blueprints are available in the Tenno Lab of a Clan Dojo. They have to be researched by the clan first.
Chroma is a pain in the backside, his blueprint being the reward for the quest The New Strange, and his components obtained by completing the Junctions for Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. Keep in mind that you need an Ember Neuroptics, Frost Chassis, Saryn Systems and Volt Neuroptics to build him.
Ember’s components are rewards for defeating Sargus Ruk at Tethys, Saturn, with about 30% chance for each part per successful assassination. Her blueprint is available in the Market.
Equinox consists of Day Neuroptics, Day Chassis, Day Systems, Day Blueprint, Night Neuroptics, Night Chassis, Night Systems and Night Blueprint, all being potential drops from defeating Tyl Regor on Titania, Uranus. You need to build the Day and Night Forms first before you can build Equinox fully. Her full blueprint is available in the Market.
Excalibur is a Starter Frame available as one of your choices at the start of the game. His components drop from Lt. Lech Kril on War, Mars, and his blueprint is available in the Market. Excalibur can also be bought from Teshin with 60,000 Conclave Standing, or from the Market for 75 Platinum.
Frost is now available from Ceres. His components can be obtained by defeating the tag-team duo of Captain Vor and Lieutenant Lech Kril at Exta, Ceres. His blueprint is available in the Market.
Gara components can be obtained by doing Bounties for Konzu on the Plains of Eidolon, with the 4th and 5th stages having the highest chance to give a part. Her blueprint comes from the completion of the quest Saya’s Vigil. Check Bounty rewards before starting, as not all Bounties (notably low level and event Bounties) give Gara components.
Harrow’s blueprint is obtained by completing the quest Chains of Harrow. His Chassis has a chance to drop from Corrupted units in Fissure missions, his Neuroptics is a potential reward from Spy Vaults in Pago on the Kuva Fortress (with three completed vaults required) and his Systems are a reward for 8 waves of rescued Grineer in Defection missions. The Chains of Harrow quest requires completion of the War Within.
Hydroid’s blueprint is available in the Market, and his components are potential rewards from the Vay Hek assassination mission on Oro, Earth.
Inaros can be obtained via the Sands of Inaros quest. This can be purchased from Baro Ki’Teer who visits a relay every two weeks. You will need 100 ducats (obtained by selling Prime Parts at Ducat Kiosks in Relays) and 25,000 credits.
Ivara’s blueprint and components are all potential rewards from completing Spy missions across the solar system without setting off any alarms inside Vaults. The Systems come from Spy missions from Mercury to Phovos, the Chassis comes from Spy missions from Ceres to Saturn and Lua, and the Blueprint and Neuroptics come from all other Spy missions (from Uranus to Sedna).
Khora’s components and blueprint are all potential rewards from Sanctuary Onslaught. You cannot obtain Khora from Elite Sanctuary Onslaught and you must have completed the quest The New Strange. For maximum efficiency, it is best to complete Zone 8 then reset.
Limbo’s blueprint and components can be obtained throughout the quest Limbo’s Theorem, and need to be built to complete the quest. If you wish to avoid doing additional Archwing, you can hold out in the first Archwing mission and obtain 12 Fragments, enabling you to skip the other Archwing segments.
Loki’s blueprint is available from the Market, and his components are potential rewards of the Hyena Pack assassination mission on Psamathe, Neptune.
Mag’s blueprint is available from the Market, and her components are potential rewards of the Sergeant assassination mission on Illiad, Phobos. The Sergeant is really weak, making Mag very easy to obtain.
To unlock Mesa, you need to complete the quest Patient Zero. Mesa’s components are available by defeating Mutalist Alad V on Eris. This assassination requires Mutalist Alad V Keys, which in turn require 3 Mutalist Alad V Coordinates, available from Infested Outbreak missions. It is recommended. Her blueprint is available in the Market.
Mirage is available upon completion of the Hidden Messages quest, and the quest requires that you build her and her components. You will need to use Dragon Keys to unlock Vaults in the Orokin Derelict to obtain Orokin Ciphers to start the quest.
Nekros’s blueprint is available from the Market, and his components are potential rewards of the Lephantis assassination mission on Orokin Derelict Assassination in the Orokin Derelict. Orokin Derelict Assassination keys are required to do the mission, which require Lephantis Coordinates. These drop from breaking Containers elsewhere in the Derelict.
Nezha’s components and blueprints are available in the Tenno Lab of a Clan Dojo. They have to be researched by the clan first.
Nidus’s blueprint is rewarded upon completion of the quest The Glast Gambit. His components can be found on Rotation C (4 Rounds) of the Infested Salvage mission on Oestrus, Eris. Nidus requires Kuva to be built, and thus requires the completion of the War Within. The Glast Gambit requires you to bet credits which you can lose, so make sure to stock up on credits.
Nova’s blueprint is available from the Market, and her components are potential rewards of the Raptors assassination mission on Namaah, Europa.
Nyx’s blueprint is available from the Market, and her components are potential rewards of the Phoroid assassination mission, which can be found on Infested Outbreak invasions on other boss mission nodes (e.g. Fossa, Venus or Illiad, Phobos).
Oberon’s components have a chance to be dropped by Eximus enemies. Eximus enemies can reliably be found in high level missions, higher waves of endless missions (e.g. wave 10 and higher on defense) and in Eximus Stronghold missions in Sorties, but can appear in any mission type. His blueprint is available in the Market.
Octavia’s blueprint is a reward for the quest Octavia’s Anthem. Her Neuroptics is a potential reward for surviving 20 minutes in Orokin Derelict Survival, her Systems can be found in Orokin Caches in the Crossfire Exterminate mission on Plato, Lua and her Chassis is a reward for completing the Music Puzzle in non-Defense Lua missions. This Music Puzzle has a tall tower suspended above a bit and several buttons you can stand on. Copying the song that plays successfully will spawn a container at the top of the tower containing the Chassis. A second Rare Orokin Container will spawn nearby, possibly containing a Forma. Octavia’s Anthem requires the completion of the War Within.
Rhino’s blueprint is available from the Market, and his components are potential rewards of the Jackal assassination mission on Fossa, Venus.
Saryn’s blueprint is available from the Market, and her components are potential rewards of the Kela De Thayme assassination mission on Merrow, Sedna. To start this mission, you require 25 Judgement Points, which can be obtained by playing the Arena missions on Nakki, Yam and Vodyanoi on Sedna. 13 points are refunded when you defeat Kela De Thayme.
Titania’s blueprint and her components the reward for completing the Silver Grove. You will need to use a Codes Scanner or Synthesis Scanner to scan plants. Most plants can be found on Mercury, Earth, Venus, Ceres and Lua. This quest requires a Mastery Rank of 8 to start.
Trinity’s blueprint is available from the Market, and her components are potential rewards of the Ambulas assassination mission on Hades, Pluto. This requires 40 Animo Beacons. Animo Beacons can be obtained by defeating and hacking Ambulas enemies on outdoor Corpus missions on Pluto.
Valkyr’s blueprint is available from the Market, and her components are potential rewards of the Alad V and Zanuka assassination mission on Themisto, Jupiter.
Vauban’s components are rewards from Alerts and his blueprint is available from the Market. The Warframe app can be used to alert you of Vauban component alerts.
Volt’s components and blueprints are available in the Tenno Lab of a Clan Dojo. They have to be researched by the clan first.
Wukong’s components and blueprints are available in the Tenno Lab of a Clan Dojo. They have to be researched by the clan first.
Zephyr’s components and blueprints are available in the Tenno Lab of a Clan Dojo. They have to be researched by the clan first.
Prime Warframes can be obtained via relics, requiring a prime Neuroptics, Chassis, Systems and Blueprint. Unbuilt components and blueprints can be traded with other players. Relics are currently available for Banshee Prime, Hydroid Prime, Mirage Prime, Nekros Prime, Oberon Prime, Valkyr Prime and Zephyr Prime.
The following prime frames are vaulted and their relics and components cannot be obtained outside of trading: Frost, Ember, Loki, Rhino, Mag, Nova, Nyx, Trinity, Volt, Ash, Saryn, Vauban. Relics for Vauban, Volt, Saryn and Trinity may still be commonly used by other players, while Frost, Ember and Loki were recently unvaulted for a brief period of time. Two or three Vaulted Primes become temporarily available via relics every 6 or so months.
The most recent frame (as of writing) is Zephyr Prime, the next frame to be vaulted is Nekros Prime and the next two most potential candidates to be Primed are Limbo and Chroma.
Excalibur Prime is unobtainable except by those who bought Founders packages when Warframe was new. Excalibur Umbra, a dark variant of Excalibur Prime, is rumoured to be the reward for the next cinematic quest, the Sacrifice.
I think that covers most things. I’ll try to update this when the next Warframe comes out.
