I Mastered Every Item in Warframe Except for Founder Items

I have officially just mastered every weapon in Warframe. Except for Founder items. It’s been a grueling 3 years of grinding, but for now, I’m done. And to think that I was going to stop at 18 because I didn’t think Mastery mattered that much. It doesn’t, but that’s not the point. My point is that I have mastered literally everything apart from the unobtainable Excalibur Prime, Skana Prime and Lato Prime.

Mastering 557 out of 557 weapons.
Mastering 557 out of 557 weapons.

And it was hell. Especially at the end.

Once I hit MR28, I was only missing a few things. Namely Archwing items, K-Drives and whatever new Prime stuff had just been released. Things were easy back then. I even had the Paracesis at level 50.

Archwings were fine. Even K-Drives weren’t too bad. K-Drives actually weren’t as bad as I expected, but only because one particular race was available. The super cool race where you rush through a tunnel. It actually only took me 3 hours to do all the K-Drives, and half of that time was spent waiting for the last K-Drive to finish building in my foundry.

But part of this was due to my Smeeta Kavat, a yellow kitty called Arkadin. For the first and last K-Drive, the little Kavat gave me the Affinity Boost buff, which doubles both affinity gains and item pickups for 120 seconds. This was valuable and shaved off a lot of time. Granted, within that time frame, I could only ever manage 2 races (even with AW-ing back to the start). But thanks to that buff, 2 races granted the same experience as 4.

Still need to finish leveling up with Ventkids though.

Anyway, with those out of the way, I could move on to my last few items.

THOSE DAMN KUVA WEAPONS!

I have literally completely murdered my Forma stockpile. I actually ran out and ended buying a couple of Forma bundles. That’s how damn bad the Kuva weapons are. Not only do you have to level them up 5 times each, but you have to waste a TON of Forma on them!

But I had an Affinity Booster and nothing better to do. And I was still on a high from finishing K-Drives. So off I went.

And let me put it this way, it took forever. Especially since, even with an affinity booster, most of the time I was the squad’s DPS. I was the person getting all the kills. In one mission, despite not taking a nuke frame, I managed to do 96% of the damage done because everyone else was underlevelled and not able to kill the enemies on Hydron. I encountered the same issues on Elite Sanctuary Onslaught.

I actually reached the point where I was using literally nothing but my Warframe and the Kuva Weapon I needed to level up. All I had left were primaries.

Elite Sanctuary Onslaught though was faster. Kinda.

While it is faster, it’s also more stressful, because of Simaris and his bullshit rules. You can’t cast the same ability more than once every 10 seconds… apart from your first ability. Which is what a Saryn normally uses. So I’ve got to sit there and time each cast, and mistiming a cast meant losing efficiency.

I also had the problem of still doing the most damage. You see, if I was the team’s DPS, it would take 8 zones to get a Kuva Weapon from 0 to levels 32-38. 8 Zones was ONLY JUST enough to get a weapon to 40, assuming I had everything unequipped. But if I had someone else doing all the damage, I could get a weapon to level 40 in 4 zones, and from – to level 32 in 2 zones.

Heck, even with me doing 40% of damage dealt, rather than 60+, that would be enough to get a weapon to level 34-40 in 4 zones. But most of the time, I was the one dealing all the damage. I did have some much-appreciated help from a clan mate and a random, but it was mostly just me.

Still, I pushed on.

At 3:13am on the 4th of May, I finished.

I had mastered all the fucking Kuva Weapons. I was done. 556/556 was displayed on my profile. I was exhausted. I assumed that was everything. I’d mastered all the K-Drives, all the Kuva Weapons, everything.

I was done. It was stupidly late but I was happy and exhausted.

Except I wasn’t done.

I posted a screenshot on the Fortuna 69 Discord channel and someone told me I was missing something. It took me HALF AN HOUR to find the missing weapon.

The Dera Vandal. A shitty, useless old event weapon. One that isn’t displayed on the Codex until you obtain one.

So I bought a set (blueprint and parts) off someone for 30 platinum, rushed it for 50 platinum and took it to Elite Sanctuary Onslaught. Within 7 minutes, after ending up in a genuinely good ESO squad, I was done.

The Dera Vandal had been mastered. I had mastered all 557 out of 557 weapons.

But I’m still miles away from MR29!

Why? I need Intrinsics. I have to work on Railjack stuff and get my Intrinics all to level 10. Right now, I’m at rank 7 on two schools and rank 6 on the other two.

For now though, I’m going to take a break. At least until the next weapon arrives. Which, knowing my luck, will be a weapon RIGHT AT THE END of the next Nightwave.

Oh well.

Fucking Dera Vandal.

I think I need to sit down for a bit.

Congrats! Sounds like a hell of a grind, but you pulled it off!

Good Job – I’m also MR28, nearing MR29, just have the Braton Vandal left and some intrinics (currently at 7877), which is proving to be harder than getting all the Kuva Weapons.
