My Favourite Twitch Streamers
In my desperate bid to write articles, I am not just scraping the bottom of the barrel, I have clawed my way through it and am on my way to digging towards the center of the earth. But, well, I’ve had a lot of Twitch playing in the background while I work, so I feel like this is a good topic to write about. Plus, I’ve mentioned Youtubers that I follow before, Twitch is no different. Anyway, here are some of my favourite Twitch streamers.
The assorted friends and stuff
Before I go into streamers who I don’t know but do enjoy, I feel I should plug some of my friends, even if they don’t stream much. My sibling, Faepuppy, plays stupid shit occasionally, generally at the dead of night, doing stupid challenges with their equally stupid friends, so they’re always fun to watch. Confusion is another friend of mine who streams, who I kinda just messaged out of the blue when I was bored one day. She mostly does Apex but she occasionally plays other stuff too.
Finally, aabicus does occasionally stream, when he’s not working himself to death. When he does stream, he normally plays Pokemon games. He streamed his initial Magikarp-only run on Pokemon Red, and is currently doing a cool Smeargle run, which I hope to continue watching at some point.
BehavingBeardly/Beardageddon
Honestly? Sea of Thieves streams can be pretty damn boring. But Rare constantly does Twitch Drops, which require you to watch streams for hours at a time. So I find myself just waiting until my normal streamers get online, and I watch those. In this case, I watch the two Beards. They basically do the same thing, rotating between solo-slooping, playing with other streamers and getting into shenanigans, but they’re at least a bit more interesting than most SoT streamers, who seem to just stare into the camera all the time. I suppose at least their beards distract from the long down-times between adventures.
To be honest, my real pick for this sort of thing would be Mother0fChickens, but she’s hardly ever online. I like Mother0fChickens mostly because she has a great taste in music, but also she’s also just all-round pretty fun to watch.
Kitboga
Scam-baiting is the act of calling scammers and keeping them on the line for as long as possible and just generally disrupting their work, using up resources so they can’t scam other people. There are a lot of scam-baiters out there, but I think Kitboga is one of my favourites. Firstly, his impressions are top-notch. He really nails pretending to be a dear old lady or a senile old man, and he’s gotten into a good rhythm. But it’s not all just keeping scammers on the line. Over the years, Kitboga has cloned banking websites to display stupid messages, he’s made endless Google F0rms to fool scammers and he’s also trapped these people in digital mazes, forcing them to have to deal with AI tech support for hours at a time in a bid to get refund money that doesn’t exist.
Being a big streamer, audience acknowledgement and communication is pretty low, but the community is generally pretty friendly, so it’s not too bad.
Bisnap
I started watching Bisnap on Youtube years ago, when I stumbled across his Ratchet and Clank series. Since I never owned a PS4, I wanted to find a playthrough of the later games, and there Bisnap was, with complete playthroughs and the decency to not talk over cutscenes. I ended up sticking around for his Binding of Isaac videos, but eventually realized that he streamed on Twitch, so I started watching him there, live. Bisnap mostly plays Binding of Isaac, and has 100% completed every single Binding of Isaac game, alongside similar games like The End is Nigh and Enter the Gungeon. What REALLY got me though was watching Bisnap win a run with the Lost, before you could unlock Holy Mantle on Lost by default, using IPECAC and somehow winning that run without getting hit once.
The dude is very relaxed and almost never gets angry, even when he gets the worst luck, and he’s genuinely insanely good at pretty much every game he plays. His audience interaction is pretty nice as well,
Mopioid
Funnily enough, I found Mopioid via Bisnap. Every Tuesday, the two of them play Borderlands 2 together, and they’ve done a bunch of wacky playthroughs together, while using a mod that badly translates everything back and forth until it becomes gibberish. Their current playthrough is Jakob Zer0 and Anshini Maya, in which Mopioid hasn’t used a single run in this entire game, despite the fact that they are at level 80. But now I watch Mopioid on his own, because, while I’m not the biggest Borderlands 2 fan, the guy is genuinely really nice and attentive, and he is clearly having great fun chatting with his audience. He’s always just happy to see us.
The guy is also pretty smart as well, he actually makes mods for Borderlands 2, and is currently working on a loot randomizer mod. While programming streams can be pretty boring, Mopioid makes them pretty interesting. His streams are always just nice and chill, and never too shouty or anything.
There are other people I occasionally watch, but they’re all kinda just background noise more than anything else. These guys are at least enjoyable.
