Rest in peace, Satoru Iwata

Satoru Iwata died on July 11th 2015, aged. He was Nintendo’s global president and one of the heavy hitters, keeping Nintendo afloat and making sure we, the gamers, no matter who we are or how old we are, were happy. In his brief 55 years on this planet, he did a LOT for gaming. My words here simply won’t do Iwata justice, so I’ll simply leave you with one of his quotes.

“Above all, video games are meant to just be one thing: Fun for everyone.”

I think he achieved that.

Rest in peace.
