Holy shit this is the 800th article.

"What if my gender-neutral spouse sees this, Medic?" "It's fine, I put her right next to you. That BLU Pyro to your right?" "I mean my real spouse." "I don't get it." "What if they see you and me holding hands?" "It's just a silly picture depicting people watching fireworks and us making a wish to make it to 1000 articles and so our lives get better." "I guess." "There's nothing romantic going on." "Alright then. Now, where's my sticky jumper?"
“What if my gender-neutral spouse sees this, Medic?”
“It’s fine, I put them right next to you. That BLU Pyro to your right? That’s them.”
“I mean my real spouse.”
“I don’t get it.”
“What if they see you and me holding hands?”
“It’s just a silly picture depicting people watching fireworks, celebrating 800 articles, making a wish to make it to 1000 articles and so our lives get better.”
“I guess.”
“There’s nothing romantic going on. Confusion can stop shipping us now.”
“He ships us?”
“He used that as the original password to create our 6v6 team.”
“Seriously?”
“Yeah.”
“Huh.”

Bloody hell. The time has flown! Seriously it feels like a few weeks ago that we celebrated our 700th article. And I spent most of that article writing about how much I love you all and how I can’t live without you all and all that sort of stuff. I guess I kinda have to do the same for this article, but eh…

Thing is, lately, it’s been pretty rough for both me and aabicus. Dear old Aaby has had spouse-based health issues, job-issues and house issues, while I’ve been taking on all the responsibility of running the family business and doing pretty much everything while my father’s been recovering from cancer and my mother’s trying not to have a mental break down. I don’t blame her, at times I just want to lay down and cry. I can’t really speak for aabicus, but yeah, it’s been hard. On top of my own health issues.

During this time, I also finished a course in design, built some nice websites, ran two competitive TF2 teams, started work on officially writing my Phoviverse, slowly started to become recognisable on the League of Legends GD forum, started going to the gym, managed to get my rampaging blood sugar levels in check and reminded myself daily that Reddit is an awful website.

That’s a lot of stuff. But there’s one other thing aabicus and I have managed to do: we’ve published an article every single day. Sometimes two articles, when I accidentally fuck up the scheduling. Aabicus actually had a very interesting article lined up for today, but since it was depressing and this is supposed to be a happy day, I decided to post it tomorrow. We’ve had some help of course. The lovely people who post in the Daily SPUF thread on, uh, SPUF, have announced articles somewhat regularly and kept discussion flowing during the day. And we’ve had the odd article from other posters (mostly Sham, Garen and an article from Odoroki), and of course, pictures made by gen. DeGroot, Sham and nicked off the rest of the internet. There has also been a nice expansion of topics, ranging from Left 4 Dead to its cousin Payday to Garen’s stupid ramblings about League of Legends.

It’s been fun. And we’ve made people smile. That’s what’s important.

Well, that’s enough rambling for now. Thanks for sticking around for so long, and I hope to see you at the 900th and 1000th articles. Let’s hope I don’t get caught off guard and forget to arrange something…
