Happy 2024!
It’s a new year! That means lots of new things! We can forget about the mess that was 2023 and look forward to a fresh start. One that involves me doing a lot more writing. There’s a huge amount of work ahead of me, and a whole new year to hopefully not screw up.
So what does 2024 have in store for us? Well, I’m not sure, I’m not from the future. But one thing I know for certain we will have is time travel. In Warframe. Because we’re getting Warframe 1999 this year. And, if what we saw in Whispers in the Walls is true, it actually, genuinely is time travel. The real deal. We’ve got to go back to the past to save Albrecht Entrati before the Man in the Wall can swallow him up. Maybe we’ll be able to play with his cute cat Kalymos as well.
I’m also hoping to get a new computer this year. I have a LOT of saving up to do, but fingers crossed I’ll be able to scrounge up enough money to finally buy a proper PC, one I can slowly upgrade over the years, rather than having to rely on a laptop. That won’t be for a while though, probably not until September.
Also, more importantly, this brings us one step closer to the big 4000th post. What’s it going to be? Probably nothing special. Despite knowing this has been coming for a while, I still don’t have anything written for it. Seriously, despite the amount of writing I do, I am at a complete loss on what to write for the 4000th article. Part of me wants to do a story or something, part of me wants to do a small giveaway, but, like, very few people actually read this blog these days. So it’ll probably be a rambling history of the blog, with a note at the end saying that I’ll continue writing every day and that we might one day see the 5000th blog post. I’m predictable like that.
One other thing though, I have started re-writing my fiction as well, with MK5 of my Phoviverse. I’ve gone back to my roots, getting rid of all the confusing extra-universal stuff, as well as trimming back some of the races and gods. It’s all on my website, which is on the bar on the right, if you want to have a read.
Anyway, I’ll be getting back to my writing. Once again, I have a new year’s resolution to write 500 words a day, and I’m going to bloody stick to it. 2024 will be my 8th year doing this, and the writing does help me a lot. It’s pretty grounding, and also gives me something to do aside from sitting around playing video games and watching random crap on Youtube. It also makes sure that I write a Daily SPUF article every day, after all, it IS a daily blog. I’d actually recommend giving it a go yourself, doing daily writings, although you don’t need to be as strict as I am.
