Why I’m Ultimately Fine With Safer Seas’ Drawbacks

Safer Seas in Sea of Thieves comes with a lot of drawbacks. There are no emissary flags, you can’t go higher than level 40 on a faction and you can’t use captained ships or the Sovereigns. The biggest drawback is that all gold is cut back by 70%, meaning whatever you sell will only sell for 30% of its normal value. Thoughts on Safer Seas Now They’re Out

The other day, I was busy sailing on my own when I received an invite from my sister’s waifu (let’s call him Garbo, based on his username), inviting me to join him on a galleon on Safer Seas. Thoughts on Safer Seas

In Season 10, Sea of Thieves is introducing a new game mode. Coming in December 2023, we will gain access to Safer Seas, which works similarly to sailing the normal High Seas, except it’s your own private instance. Basically, by playing Safer Seas, you can explore the Sea of Thieves with your crew and no one else. It’s basically a private server, although you still need to be connected to the internet.
