Thoughts on Soulframe from Tennocon 2023

Tennocon has been and gone, but we got to see a lot of stuff. One of the cooler things was the intro into Tennolive, the big content reveal, and it started off with Soulframe, the other game Digital Extremes is making. After a long wait, people didn’t seem that happy to have a massive Soulframe trailer before their Warframe stuff, but it was interesting to see. On Steve, Soulframe, Warframe and New Ambitions

At the end of Tennocon 2022, we got a reveal of a brand new game, one that is now in development. Soulframe is going to be a brand new game, leaning much further towards fantasy over science fiction. Digital Extremes are now making two games instead of just one, which means that some people are going to move towards Soulframe. My Very Early Thoughts on Soulframe

So it looks like Digital Extremes are making another game. At Tennocon 2022, a brand new game, built on the same engine as Warframe, was released at the end of the show. Dubbed Soulframe, while it had the same artistic style, what little we saw definitely set it apart from Warframe. This is high fantasy, a stark contrast to Warframe’s high sci-fi.
