Modding the Awkward Way

Lately, I’ve been playing Warframe with my brother Smeghead. I introduced him to the game in April last year, and he’s really enjoyed it, having reached Mastery Rank 21 with ease. His favourite character is Rhino, and his glorious Rubedo-plated Rhino Prime is his most used frame, complete with several Forma and all the maxed mods. Meanwhile, my beloved Volt Prime still does not have a single Forma embedded in him. You see, Smeghead mods like a normal person. He fully upgrades his mods. If a Warframe or weapon doesn’t have enough room for a mod, then he sticks a… [Continue Reading]

The Best Starter Weapons in Warframe

There are a handful of starter weapons in Warframe. More than you might think, actually. When you play the opening tutorial, escaping from the clutches of Captain Vor and getting to your ship, you get a basic choice of weaponry, but there are also options in the Market once you’ve completed the tutorial. The first weapons you pick up are a single Primary weapon, Secondary weapon and melee weapon. These are your starter weapons, and you’ll be using them for a while, at the very least until they are level 30. Luckily, melee weapons it doesn’t really matter too much… [Continue Reading]

On Digging Holes and Trenches

I’m pretty sure I’m in the minority when I say that I’d rather dig a trench than go spelunking in Minecraft. The whole point of Minecraft is going into deep caves, exploring, discovering dungeons and strongholds, fighting off monsters and finding diamonds. Then most likely going round in circles as you wander through caverns and try to remember which way the exit is. Me though? I’m not into that. It’s mainly two things. Firstly, skeletons are bastards. Every other mob in the game is fine, but I hate skeletons and their dumb sounds and their stupid aim. The only good… [Continue Reading]

Random Tips for the Plains of Eidolon

You may think I’m beating a dead horse or otherwise going on and on about this big new update, especially when I should be talking about the Team Fortress 2 update that’s FINALLY happening. But here I am, giving people a hand with a Warframe update that sends you in blind. But before we start with specifics, there’s a Halloween colour palette available in the Warframe market for 1 credit, until November 1st. Not platinum. Credit. Just search Halloween on the market and purchase the palette and it’ll be yours forever. I bought it last year and the Halloween palette… [Continue Reading]

The Property Owner – How I play Saints Row: the Third

The other day, I picked up an old Saints Row: the Third save and started playing it. It was from my Co-Op game with aabicus, but because of the weird way that SRTT works, my character technically hasn’t progressed at all apart from appearing in Steelport. In aabicus’s game (because he always hosts), we’ve already fucked up the Morningstar gang and are working on doing other stuff as well, but that mission progress was only progress for aabicus, not me. It kinda makes sense, aabicus is the ‘Playa’ or the Boss or whatever you want to call the protagonist, and… [Continue Reading]

The Best Skyrim Mod Ever

… In my opinion at least… But really, with Skyrim, there’s mods for nearly everything. You can make combat super hard, you can wear awesome armours, you can turn into different animals, improve nearly any aspect of gameplay or, even can turn the game into some sort of weird sex simulator if you so desire, you can do nearly anything with it. But there are some mods you simply cannot live without. Rather than link every single mod I mention, I recommend going to Nexus Mods and choosing yourself. Modding is a personal quest, not something you should copy because… [Continue Reading]

The single best tip ever for modders

So right now, I am working on a mod for Skyrim, for my own personal use mainly. I spend a lot of time in Skyrim as a dragon, and sometimes I get lonely. Or, more precisely, I get bored and want to destroy Markarth again, but find that my rather cumbersome dragon can’t get into all those little crevices the same way that AI dragons can. But of course, just summoning Odahviing isn’t enough. Summoning Durvehviir, as awesome as he is, doesn’t last long enough, and his summon minion spells honestly just get in the way. On top of that,… [Continue Reading]
