On Macaroni and Cheese

I love a good old pasta dish, filled with pasta and cheese and some sort of sauce. My favourite pasta dish is my own homemade macaroni cheese, made with whatever pasta I have in my cupboard, a bechamel sauce with an egg yolk in it, mustard and plenty of cheese. The cheese in question varies depending on what day of the week it is and how many sandwiches my cheese-loving sister has eaten, but still, it’s always good. The recipe itself is simple. You boil your pasta for as long as it needs, adding salt and a splash of oil… [Continue Reading]

“What the Fuck even IS a Warframe?”

“What the fuck even IS a Warframe?” someone once asked me. It might have been my mum, because that’s the sort of thing she asked. At the time I gave a pretty vague answer, something like “biomechanical suits controlled telepathically by kids”, which isn’t really a good answer. It’s true, but it’s still a shitty answer. Even today, “what is a Warframe?” is still a stupidly annoying question to answer. But we’re going to try anyway. So before the Second Dream, it was assumed that Warframes were people. The majority of characters look like they are suits, containing humans inside… [Continue Reading]

Another Look at Ash – No Longer a Power Point Presentation

Sometimes, just sometimes, you can’t use the same Warframe for everything. Sometimes you gotta try new things. Sometimes you really, really want something dead. Sometimes, you actually want to be a stealthy ninja, going around sneakily murdering things. Well Ash is really good at that. Ash Prime is even better than that, and there’s a ton of them running around right now because nearly everyone got an Ash Prime if they had linked up their Warframe and Twitch accounts and were active the 7 days before Tennocon. Since there’s a load of newbie Ashes wandering around, really it was the… [Continue Reading]

Play As A Dragon – That feeling when a mod you thought would never get updated suddenly gets updated…

It’s funny how things go. Throughout most of July, I’d kinda given up on playing Skyrim. There weren’t any new mods I fancied, I wasn’t in the mood to try anything insanely experimental and I’d pretty much given up hope that I’d see a mod come out that worked with or even replaced Burning Skies, a Playable Dragon Mod I’ve talked about a few times on here. But lo and behold, I stumbled across Play As A Dragon almost by random, sitting in the Most Recent section of Nexus Mods, a couple of pages in. Made by the same guy… [Continue Reading]

‘Zilla

Everyone I have spoken to apart from my mum seems to hate the 1998 Godzilla movie. Not one of the Japanese ones, but a Hollywood re-imagining of the King of the Monsters. Not so much a revamp but Hollywood doing their own thing. They all say that the 2014 movie was more faithful. But faithful does not mean better. I’ve watched the 2014 Godzilla movie a few times. But frankly I don’t enjoy it. It’s slow, plodding, tiresome and does not have NEARLY ENOUGH Godzilla in it. What pissed me off the most was the human characters I didn’t care… [Continue Reading]

Tenno of Anarchy

I’ve spoken a lot about my Warframe clan. The article about building and decorating featured things built in the Tenno of Anarchy dojo. A couple of articles have used screenshots of squad mates, and one of those were taken from the clan’s showcase, which randomly shows 4 members of the clan in their currently equipped frames. Tenno of Anarchy isn’t a big clan at all, but for some reason I’ve stuck around. I’ll start off by saying that normally I’m not a clan person. Prior to Warframe, the most clan-like things I’ve been a part of are SPUF, subSPUF and… [Continue Reading]

Sorry, I fucked up.

If you’re seeing this, sorry. I totally fucked up. Turns out I somehow tabbed off the main typing area here on WordPress, pressed tab a bunch more times trying to work out what I was doing, hit Enter and accidentally published an article I was writing. That article happened to be the 2000 post celebratory article. I mean, out of ALL the articles I could have accidentally published, it had to be that one. So I’ve had to go through all our social media and delete the articles. But I can’t go through and delete the article emails that you’ve… [Continue Reading]

Zephyr – A Canary in a Cage

Zephyr sits at the bottom of my list of Warframes, looking at me longingly every time I scroll down to select Volt or Volt Prime. She squeaks and caws, thinking I might pick her, knowing full well that I want my electric space ninja more than anything else. But lately I’ve been expanding my horizons a little bit. Playing more than just Volt with a hint of Khora and Ivara. Volt’s my main Warframe. Ivara‘s for Spy missions, Plains of Eidolon things and the occasional Riven Challenge. Khora is my go-to lazy frame for when I just want a mission… [Continue Reading]

Mods for Almost Everything

It’s amazing how many mods there in Warframe. Mods for your weapons, mods for your Sentinels, mods for your cats, dogs and infested monsters, mods for your Warframes themselves, mods for your Archwings and mods for your Archwing weapons. With the Sacrifice, we got the ability to mod Exalted Weapons, the weapons created from Warframe abilities (named after Excaliur’s Exalted Blade ability). There’s only three things that you can’t shove a mod into: your Space Kid, your Space Kid’s arm cannon and your ship. Chances are, at some point, you’ll be able to shove mods into them too. It actually… [Continue Reading]
