Little Things I’d Like To See Fixed or Changed in Warframe

One of the nice things about Warframe is that every update is free, and so are all the bugs and glitches and stuff. However, these things are quickly patched up in hotfixes. However, there are tons of tiny little things that can sit unfixed for a long, long time. Sometimes, they’re not really actually broken, they’re just… not very good. They’re little things I’d like to see fixed or changed.

Blast Procs

Blast used to be my favourite damage type. It was amazing, because it could ragdoll enemies and send them flying. Blast is the reason I kept the Sonicor around for so long, because it could ragdoll enemies that would otherwise be shooting at me. Sure, the Sonicor didn’t always kill anyone, but it was a cool, fun weapon.

Then we had a rework of all the damage types, and Blast was brutally slaughtered. Now Blast procs reduce enemy accuracy. And that’s it. It’s not even a noticeable effect. Impact damage kinda took over as the ragdoll element, but it’s still 1. not very good at ragdolling and 2. still stupidly weak compared to Slash damage. Blast damage is completely useless these days, you can’t even make meme builds with it. All they have to do fix this is give us back old Blast ragdolling.

Warframe building times

I’ve tried to get a lot of people into playing Warframe. But not many have actually stuck around. And it’s always the same reasons. One of those reasons is the fact that it takes three, maybe even four days to make one Warframe. It’s actually doubly bad because the components all require 12 hours each, and if you don’t have them already built to make your final frame, that just eats up more time.

Thing is, nothing else in the game needs 3 and a half full days to build. And since building a new Warframe is probably one of the first things a new player wants to do, throwing a 3 day wait in their faces is needlessly cruel, and perhaps disappointing too. I know that Warframe makes a lot of money from people who rush the builds for new Warframes, but come on, three days is barbaric for new players with limited options.

Get rid of the auto-install mod button

This button is garbage. There’s never a reason to use it. Even if auto-install did actually suggest useful mods, the best way to mod is to do it yourself. I know the mod menu is daunting and it’s hard to choose what you should use. But using auto-install just doesn’t do anything for you. It picks outdated mods and niche things that don’t even go together.

Volt’s damn animation set when using gun staffs or fishing spears

Yeah this doesn’t match the rest of the items on this list. But as a Volt main who fished his way up to max rank in Cetus, I am so sick and tired of seeing that glitched animation that doesn’t fit at all. It looks like Limbo’s staff animation but more broken. I’ve wanted this to be fixed for years. Even if it’s not actually broken and that’s the way the devs made it, it still looks fucking stupid. Volt doesn’t make things float in the air, that’s the sort of thing Limbo or Mag would more likely do.

There’s probably more stuff that also irks me, but I don’t want to bother you all too much. After all, these are just little things…
