On Not Hunting Down My Last Few Warframe Achievements

I’ve never really been a fan of hunting down achievements. Most games generally have one or two awkward achievements that take too much effort to get. And I’m a super impatient person. Heck, the ONLY game I have 100% achievements on is Skyrim, and I certainly haven’t done that on the newer 64bit version. Once is enough, thanks.

But weirdly enough, I’m actually missing a large chunk of Warframe achievements. Sure, I have the True Master achievement, but there are plenty I don’t have. Some of these are quite a pain in the butt, but others I don’t have because of sheer laziness.

Warframe achievements overall are rather standard.

You’ve got a pretty normal mix of achievements. There’s one for beating the boss of every planet for example, as well as Mastery Rank achievements. Scattered among them are achievements for vaguely complicated things. These range from getting a kill with your melee, secondary and primary all in the space of 5 seconds (a somewhat easy task), to riding 1 million meters on a K-Drive. There’s also achievements for credits, forma-ing and ranking up various weapons.

Warframe's achievements are all pretty doable as well. The only issue is that 25 of them are tied to your Mastery Rank, which makes Warframe pretty hard to get 100% on.

These are all pretty standard. But quite a few are missing from my Steam profile. While only two are missing from my in-game profile.

In fact, I’m missing 10% of Warframe’s achievements.

I think you can understand me not completing the 1 million meters K-Drive achievement. And K-Drive races in general are not my strong suit. But some of these missing achievements are insane! I apparently haven’t killed the bosses of both Uranus and Sedna. Or, rather, I don’t have the achievements for them. Despite having beaten Kela and Tyl Regor a few dozen times each.

And, somehow, despite having the achievement for True Master, I am missing the achievements Polarize This and Polarize That. You know, the achievements for Forma-ing an item and then getting said item to level 30 again.

My weirdest missing achievement is Bow Mastery 1. Which is getting any two bow weapons to level 10. Despite having maxed out all my bows.

What’s going on?

I had no idea at first. And honestly, I didn’t care. But now that I’m running out of things to complete in Warframe, the case of the missing achievements is quite a curious one. After all, I have milked the mastery from Kuva Weaponry, which requires 5 Forma per gun. Yet I don’t have an achievement for putting a single forma on a weapon.

But it turns out, I already sorta knew the answer. The realization came to me when equipping Rhino of all things. A while back, I had purchased the Rhino Rubedo skin, but it hadn’t appeared in my inventory. It turned out that the skin had been sent to another account. My original account. I had to contact support to get the skin sent to my at-the-time MR20 account.

Basically, I need to do all these achievements again, but using Phovos the Excalibur.

Phovos is the name of my original account, made in (approximately) 2014, back when Warframe was actually new and we only had a handful of tile sets. Somewhere along the line, my achievements ended up getting disconnected from my Steam account. So if I want to get that sweet 100% completion, I’ll have to log in to that account and do them all there.

Some of these are easier said than done though. I don’t have the patience to work all the way to Uranus, let alone Sedna, to kill a single boss. In order to get to Kela De Thayme, I’ll have to not only do the entirety of the star chart but also the majority of quests as well. And that is genuinely a lot of work, especially on an account that has nothing on it aside from an Excalibur and a Vectis. Too much for a handful of achievements I technically already have.

But the scarier thought is the fact that my K-Drive achievements might also be tied to that second account. I doubt it though, because I managed to get the achievement for Ventkids no problem.

At the end of the day though, I’m just too lazy.
