All The Commendations and Achievements

One of the more common sounds you’ll hear in the Sea of Thieves is a faint scribbling sound, the sound of pen writing on parchment. You’ll hear it quite regularly, especially if you are bringing treasure aboard your ship, are cooking and tinkering around your ship or you just happen to be eating something. The scribbling sound is the sound of things being added to your log. The log seems to track all sorts of stuff. It will track you as you find treasure, as you put the treasure on your ship, or even track your treasure if it is… [Continue Reading]

100% Achievements in Warframe: DONE

Why do I do this to myself? What convinced me that I needed to get all 193 achievements in Warframe? I suppose, when you have everything else done in Warframe, you might as well? Either way, on a rather dull Thursday morning, when I was totally supposed to be working, I did it. I got the last Warframe achievement I needed, Race Ace. With that out of the way, I can finally claim that I have more than one 100% game. Skyrim was an easy game to 100%. Warframe has taken me over 4000 hours. So, shall we have a… [Continue Reading]

On Not Hunting Down My Last Few Warframe Achievements

I’ve never really been a fan of hunting down achievements. Most games generally have one or two awkward achievements that take too much effort to get. And I’m a super impatient person. Heck, the ONLY game I have 100% achievements on is Skyrim, and I certainly haven’t done that on the newer 64bit version. Once is enough, thanks. But weirdly enough, I’m actually missing a large chunk of Warframe achievements. Sure, I have the True Master achievement, but there are plenty I don’t have. Some of these are quite a pain in the butt, but others I don’t have because… [Continue Reading]

What Makes A Good Achievement?

According to Steam, the only game I have 100% completion on is Skyrim, the normal version. The only two achievements I actively hunted were the maxing out of the Werewolf and Vampire skill trees, because I never liked the Vampire and Vampire Lord forms and the Werewolf form only lasted as long as you kept on killing people. And only a handful of other achievements made me directly do various actions, like making sure I got every single Daedric artifact on one character. But that’s only because there are certain Daedric items *cough* the Skeleton Key *cough* that don’t count… [Continue Reading]

Tea Talk: Random Achievements

I’ve been playing one particular mobile game recently. It’s not really that good of a game, and it’s not unique or interesting enough to warrant any discussion on the game itself. But there is one particular issue I have with the game that really irritates me. In that game, you can collect tokens to earn extra points. And there are a whole series of achievements based on collecting a specific number of tokens. Thing is, the token spawns are random and you can’t completely control whether you collect the tokens or not. Thus, whether you collect the specific amount of… [Continue Reading]

Obtaining Medic Achievements

So, after aabicus’s article about writing about something randomly chosen by the TF2 wiki, I’m going to do the same thing, minus the snazzy gif that aabicus used. Because I’m lazy and can’t be bothered to install anything that will record my screen for like three seconds. Unlike everyone else, I can access the TF2 wiki by typing !tf2 into my search bar, alongside any term I want. Pretty damn useful. Anyway, today’s randomly chosen subject is “obtaining Medic achievements” in Russian. That’s a good thing, because I’ve wanted to talk about achievements for a while. Fun fact, the only… [Continue Reading]
