Rock Punch Man

There’s really only one way to describe Atlas. He’s a rocky, punchy guy. He’s also one of those frames which are really fun to play but sit in my foundry, rather unused. I can see why though. Atlas isn’t hard to obtain. In fact, he’s pretty easy to get, but you need to have the right gear. Atlas’s blueprint is the reward for the Jordas Precept quest, in which you try to save a Cephalon trapped by the Infested, only to find out the Infested are using him to lure ships in and infest them. The quest isn’t hard, but… [Continue Reading]

More On K-Drives

It’s been a while since Fortuna released and while I may be max rank with Solaris United and would be max rank with Vox Solaris if I actually remembered to go and rank up with them, I am still only on the second level with the Vent Kids. Because frankly, I don’t have much reason to use my K-Drive. The reason is pretty simple. No matter what I do, it’s easier and quicker just to use my Archwing. Right now I’m rocking Itzal, teleporting across the Orb Vallis like a demented Loki/Nova crossbreed with wings, but even Elytron, the slowest… [Continue Reading]

Archwing VS K-Drives?

It seems a silly question as to what’s better, Archwing or K-Drives. Both are basically infinite in their uses, but surely the answer is the K-Drive, the awesome hoverboard skateboard thing that’s rewarded to players for completing the Vox Solaris quest, which you can use to zip and zoom and trick your way across the Orb Vallis, right? Surely the K-Drive is better than that boring old Archwing? Well… yes and no. You see, there’s generally two states of mind when you’re playing in the Orb Vallis. You’re either wandering around or you’re doing bounties. One of those activities has… [Continue Reading]

Archwing and Dargyns – Motion Sickness on the Plains of Eidolon

Archwing is a funny thing. It has so much potential, yet it’s so awkward to use. It’s all still the same, nothing has changed with Archwings since I last talked about it,  what with Amesha being the best Archwing if you want to ignore everything and Itzal only being second because if its utility, but we’ve got to consider a few more things, especially the fact that Archwings can be used on the Plains of Eidolon. When it comes to Archwing on the Plains, generally called Skywing in-game, it’s… weird. Nauseating almost. The controls are kinda different compared to normal… [Continue Reading]

What’s The Best Archwing?

What’s the best Archwing? Amesha. Amesha is the best Archwing. This isn’t a question. It’s not a contest. Honestly, I was going to end this article here, but that would be bad of me. Plus, I ought to tell you WHY Amesha is the best Archwing, I shouldn’t just ram that down your throat. But first, a quick thing about the other Archwings. Odonata, your base Archwing, is crap. A shield, something that does something, something else and something else, it’s all round a very basic, very mediocre Archwing. It’s nothing special. Even the single augment for it, which gives… [Continue Reading]

Random ideas for Warframe that aren’t enough to make a whole article out of.

I am not an ideas person. I have little ideas but never do much else with them. And 99% of the time, my ideas are not enough to write an entire article about, unless it’s that weird Medi Gun I suggested a while back. So today, after browsing on the not-quite-as-circlejerky-as-the-official-forums place known as r/warframe, I decided to just write my ideas down in a giant lump and leave the rest of you to deal with them. An Upgrade Foundry Component The pet-breeding area in your ship has an upgrade component which stops your mutant cats and dogs from dying,… [Continue Reading]

Six Degrees of Movement and Motion Sickness

Archwing is a game mode in Warframe in which you have six degrees of movement rather than the standard four. By that, I mean there is no floor to stand on and you have to float and fight through space on your space wings, with your gigantic sword and your space gun. Sounds pretty awesome, right? Well, not quite… I normally actually avoid Archwing missions, because I get dizzy easily. I was only re-reminded of their existence after a conversation with SilverWolf, and accidentally doing an Exterminate alert that turned out to be an Archwing mission. Plus, I was going… [Continue Reading]
