Kaithes are Cool

Every open world in Warframe has its own type of vehicle, a way of getting around these larger landscapes. Cetus has stolen Dargyns and Archwing, The Orb Vallis has K-Drives and Deimos has K-Drives in the form of massive dragonflies. Technically Necramechs too, but they are not that fast, they’re massive, slow powerhouses. Duviri on the other hand has horses. And these horses are pretty cool. Kaithes are the way everyone gets around on Duviri, aside from walking around on foot, or being randomly teleported into combat. If you wander around Duviri, you can occasionally see stables for Kaithes. Kaithes… [Continue Reading]

In Hindsight, Duviri Is Pretty Empty

The Duviri Paradox took ages to be released. It was originally teased at the end of the same Tennocon that teased Fortuna and Railjack, both of which came out years ago. Since then, we’ve had the New War, which somewhat concludes the Lotus’s story line, as well as lots of little bits and pieces here and there. We’ve waited a long time to actually experience Duviri in its entirety. Yet, after all this time, it all feels very… empty. There’s not that much to do. I mean, yeah, there are things to do. We got a new open world, we… [Continue Reading]

My Favourite Decree Combinations so far

While you normally have the choice to use whatever you want in the rest of the Origin system, in Duviri, your loadout is mostly decided by luck. Out of the hundreds of options you have, it’s highly likely that you will get a weapon or Warframe that you haven’t really used before. To somewhat counteract this randomness, we have Decrees, which give you specific boosts to both Drifter and your Warframe. These Decrees build up over time, and can make you very powerful. Here are some Decree combinations that I really enjoy. They’re not particularly powerful, but I like having… [Continue Reading]

Where are all the new enemies?

Duviri is a big place. It’s so big that new players are immediately given a Kaithe that can fly them around. In other open worlds, you either have Archwing or K-Drives, and out of them, while you do get the K-Drive in the Vox Solaris quest, you can’t fly with it. Kaithes will fly almost straight away, and doing so is good. Duviri though is also kinda empty, with a lot of gaps between islands. So you’d think that we’d fill these big areas with plenty of baddies, right? Well, uh, not really. Seems that there’s not really many enemies… [Continue Reading]

Duviri Paradox – Wait, What?

Clearly I’ve missed something when it comes to this quest. I must have missed some major story elements or something. Because what I thought happened isn’t actually what happened at all. Just a quick note, this article is VERY spoiler-heavy. I’m warning you now. SPOILERS AHEAD, PLEASE GO DO THE QUEST FIRST BEFORE YOU CONTINUE. Or not. Some people don’t mind being spoiled. Now, it turns out I missed something while playing Duviri paradox. It turns out, I was wrong about who Thrax is. Thrax isn’t just some random person. Thrax is the Drifter. Or the Drifter is Thrax. Or… [Continue Reading]

The Duviri Paradox – New Quest Initial Thoughts – Spoilers

So I’ve just finished playing The Duviri Paradox, and blimey, it’s really something else. I’ve got a huge amount to say about it, so I’m going to warn you now: THIS ARTICLE CONTAINS SPOILERS. DO NOT CONTINUE IF YOU HAVEN’T PLAYED THE QUEST YET. THERE’S A LOT THAT HAPPENS. Seriously, I’m not kidding. Go play the quest. Okay with the spoiler warning out of the way, let’s begin. This story can be played by anyone. It doesn’t matter if you have never played Warframe before, but the Duviri Paradox gives you a kick start into everything, far better than what… [Continue Reading]

On Not Playing As A Warframe

I’m gonna be honest. I’m not as interested as everyone else is when it comes to the Duviri Paradox. Why? It’s pretty simple. Despite being a huge new island of potential, you start off not playing as a Warframe. For a game called and about Warframes, much of our newer content over the years isn’t really about the Warframes. Sure we have things like Citrine’s Last Wish, which is about a Warframe, but major content drops have been all about nothing but the Warframes. Or even really the Operators. The New War was all about the Drifter, and it seems… [Continue Reading]

A New Beginning with the Duviri Paradox?

Warframe has always had a problem with actually getting into the game. Once you’ve completed Vor’s Prize, it’s a long, often convoluted journey even to complete the star chart. This means that many new players never actually get to try the cool things, like Necramechs and the New War. A lot of the new, fun and interesting stuff actually has a lot of requirements. The New War in particular required both a Necramech and a Railjack. Both of which are… Not so much end-game content, but still pains in the ass to obtain. Railjacks in particular have had their costs… [Continue Reading]
