A Perfect Ending to a Mythical Discovery

After so damn long, I finally managed to finish A Mythical Discovery, the special research in Pokemon Go for Mew. I got stuck on this quest so many damn times. But it all finished very abruptly and probably in the best way possible. So the Mew quest is a bit of a funny one, and is actually a requirement if you want to do the Celebi quest. The Celebi quest unlocks when you reach stage 4 of 8 of A Mythical Discovery. But both quests are pretty similar, with the same old series of steps. The Mew quest though doesn’t… [Continue Reading]

Chimera Prologue – A New Mini Quest

I’ll be honest, I was surprised when I heard that there was a new quest included in the recent Warframe update. The fact that it was 3GB suggested that there was more behind the scenes, but I just assumed that 3GB was all part of the huge number of bug fixes and changes or something. Nope, there’s a mini quest. Heads up! Spoilers ahead, because this quest is basically a HUGE spoiler of what’s to come. If you want to play it, you need to have completed every other main quest up until now, including the Sacrifice. Chimera Prologue has… [Continue Reading]

A Ripple in Time – Special Research for Celebi

Special Research in Pokemon Go is, as the name suggests, special research that has you go through various tasks, working your way towards a legendary Pokemon. At the time of writing, there are two special research quests, the Mew Quest “A Mythical Discovery” and the Celebi Quest “A Ripple in Time”. While I still need about 60 more Magikarp candies for the Mew quest, I’m so close to catching that damn Celebi. It’s been a real slog. Funnily enough, step one was simple. I had to power up Pokemon five times by feeding them candy, I had to battle in… [Continue Reading]

An Autistic Space Kid – The Chains of Harrow Update

So the Chains of Harrow update is here, on time and chock-block full of stuff. Earth got remastered, melee weapon Riven Mods are now a thing, there’s a new update, a ton of QOL changes, raids being broken again and a new quest. I’m just going to talk about the quest, because a lot of this stuff would be better off in their own articles. Just so you know, tons of spoilers ahead. But it was obvious from the update page alone that the subject of this quest, Rell, was autistic. Couldn’t have made it more obvious if they’d tried.… [Continue Reading]

The Nonsense that is the Glast Gambit Quest

Who likes gambling? Raise your hands! Well, none of you probably like gambling as much as the fictional Nef Anyo, a nefarious piece of shit character from Warframe, who you could formally kick the shit out of on Phobos before he was replaced with the Sergeant. Anyway, this Nef is a complete cock. Because back in the last major update, he went and fucking kidnapped the children from a colony of peaceful folks called the Mycona and left them defenseless. The Perrin Sequence, a bunch of friendly Corpus, are offering vast amounts of money to pay their ransoms, but Nef… [Continue Reading]

Octavia’s Anthem – The Trouble with Cephalons

On Friday 24th, Update 20 came out for Warframe. Dubbed Octavia’s Anthem, it boasted “30 pages” of updates, fixes and changes. They were not wrong. The update was just over 1GB to download, amd featured the new Warframe Octavia, as well as the quest to obtain her. Octavia’s Anthem is an… interesting quest to say the least. NOTE: SPOILERS AHEAD. I can’t really write a non-spoiler-y review of this quest as it is SUPER lore-heavy. As always, you have to talk to someone. If you have access to the quest (which requires the War Within to be completed), you can… [Continue Reading]

The War Within for real this time

If there is one thing that terrifies me most in video games, it’s children being killed in unskippable yet jumpy cutscenes by evil monsters. I’m not normally scared of being killed or anything (unless it’s unexpected and makes me jump) but the whole watching a kid die really bothers me. Even more so when I am playing the kid character, and the form of death is being crushed in the jaws of a beast and dragged underground, akin to something from Tremors but with prettier CGI. What does this have to do with Warframe and its second newest quest, the… [Continue Reading]

My Little Kubrow

The thing about hatching a Helminth Charger before completing the tutorial pet quest Howl of the Kubrow is that half the stuff involved in getting your Helminth Charger into battle doesn’t… actually work. So after some messing around, I got myself another Kubrow egg and went and bred myself a Kubrow. What the fuck is a Kubrow you ask? It’s a space dog. With a horn on its nose. Kubrows are first introduced to you on Earth, and compared to the weak Grineer you meet in your first missions, Kubrows can actually be very dangerous to a newbie. But then… [Continue Reading]

The Dark Brotherhood of Skyrim

I’ve written about two of the major parts of Skyrim, the Companions and the Civil War, and I thought I might as well continue that trend and write about some of the other major factions of Skyrim. As to what group to start with, that was a tricky decision, and I ultimately decided to go with the Dark Brotherhood, a small family of assassins. Because we all need a little bit of edginess in our lives. Of course, there are spoilers ahead, so read on with caution if you haven’t played much Skyrim yet. Seriously. Spoilers. They start here. The… [Continue Reading]

The Companions – the faction, not your friends…

There’s no Fighters Guild in Skyrim. There should have been, but there isn’t. Instead, we get the Companions. These guys claim to carry on the traditions of the 500 companions of Ysgramor, the elf-killing badass, but really, they are a bunch of smelly idiots. I mean it. They’re douchebags. Well, Aela the Huntress is, but she’s the character you spend most of the Companions quest line with. The first time you meet the Companions, you see them taking out a giant on a farm. If you don’t manage to get a hit in, even if you tried, you’ll be scolded… [Continue Reading]
