Gundam Battle: Gunpla Warfare, and gacha in general

I love mechs. And my most favourite media franchise is Gundam. However, there really aren’t many games for the franchise out there on PC. As in, not many that I like. The bulk of them are strategy games, and the only strategy I know is “whack enemy with big stick”. When GBGW was first announced, I was quite excited for it. A Gundam game where I get to customize my own Mobile Suit and beat up other Mobile Suits? It’s like a dream come true. I wasn’t exactly pleased to find out that it’s a mobile game, but it doesn’t… [Continue Reading]

I Hate Apps

I hate mobile apps. I can be quite a progressive person at times, but I am also quite a stick in the mud on many things. The main thing being the creation and selling of mobile apps. Sure, the mobile market has outpaced desktop usage and the mobile market is a massive thing we should all be a part of, but is it really a nice thing for everyone to make money off? I hate apps in a lot of different ways. I hate the fact that some apps are dumped on a brand new phone, like the Twitter and… [Continue Reading]

Seedship

With these two lines, Seedship begins. Seedship is a text-based game on mobile, where you play as an on-board AI of a ship holding the last of humanity in cryosleep, along with databases of humanity’s scientific and cultural knowledge. When gameplay starts, the Sun is dead, and no signals came from that direction. For all you know, the thousand people laying dormant within the ship you control… [Continue Reading]

For the longest time, I have a GBA emulator on my phone. In fact, I still do. I do that and went through all the trouble to get GBA roms that Nintendo haven’t cease-and-desist’d to death yet because the mobile games on the Google Play Store are simply horrid. Well, a few months ago, I found this game. This is the first screen you see when you enter the game. The random items in the room, like the potted plant, gives you buffs when you spend gems to upgrade it. The slot machine, should you win, gives you a nice… [Continue Reading]

On the endless repeating of mobile games

After three years, my first generation Moto G phone was dying. I needed to upgrade, and now I have this awesome Honor 5C. Great phone, comes with the most features for its £125 price tag and it means I can finally run some new apps on my phone, with its 8gb onboard memory and up to 128gb SD Card slot, if I need it. Of course, my first stop was looking at games, something I hadn’t had on my phone for a looong time. But as I looked though the Play Store, because I’m an Android fangirl, I realised something.… [Continue Reading]
