The GO Battle League is Here! And It’s… Weird…

The Pokemon GO Battle League is here, an update where you can battle other trainers across the globe and earn various rewards and show off how prepared you are with Great League Pokemon, since Master League and Ultra League are coming soon! The new GO Battle League (shortened to GBL) is a way for you to challenge other players via a matchmaking system. If you win, you can earn a bunch of rewards, including stardust, charge and fast TMs, rare candy and Pokemon encounters. We also have the debut of Scrafty, the weird lizard Pokemon with baggy trousers. Sounds great,… [Continue Reading]

Team Go Rocket Leaders and a New Special Research

After a lot of weird stuff going on in Pokemon Go’s Twitter page, we now have a lot of sneaky shadowy Team Go Rocket stuff going on, with the appearance of three Team Go Rocket Leaders to complete against the normal Leaders of Instinct, Valor and Mystic, as well as rumours of Giovanni hiding in the shadows. This Pokemon Go update comes in two forms: firstly there’s a new Special Research, which no one really knows much about because the second stage is “spin a Pokestop for 5 days in a row”, which means that no one can race ahead… [Continue Reading]

The ‘New’ PvP Charge Attack System

I’ve been meaning to talk about the changes to Charge Attacks in Pokemon Go’s Trainer Battles but I keep on getting sidetracked by other things, like how cool Rayquaza is and how Suicune sucks. But I think this is worth talking about since it’s made Trainer Battles, both against Team Go Rocket, the three Team Leaders and other players a lot more bearable. The original system for charge attacks meant tapping furiously on your screen. You’d get your charge attack ready and then you’d have to power it up by tapping like a fucking lunatic, something that you were basically… [Continue Reading]

Ty and the Army of Evil Zubats

I talked about the release of Team Go Rocket and their takeover of Pokestops across the world, but last Sunday, Team Go Rocket decided to try and take over every Pokestop on the planet for an hour local time. Which is fine because I actually haven’t seen many Team Go Rocket-controlled Pokestops and the ones I have seen, it’s ALWAYS the same ones. Specifically the one next to the old police station and the one where the new Cafe Nero is, and they’re like a 5-10 minute walk apart. So during this hour of intense Team Go Rocket invading, I… [Continue Reading]

PvP Has Arrived in Pokemon Go! Kinda…

Ah, Niantic. Bless your little cotton socks. You’ve released something that people have wanted for years and it’s a little bit hit and miss, as always. PvP gameplay is finally here in Pokemon Go and it’s a bit of a bumpy ride right now. The good news? PvP is easy to access and completely optional. You an enjoy fighting NPCs if you don’t ever want to fight against real people and you can happily decline any and all challenges if you want to be a pacifist. It might not be working amazingly right now, but that doesn’t matter because you… [Continue Reading]

What the Hell is Lunaro?

Okay. What was that? Why was that in my Warframe? What purpose does it have? Why is it called Lunaro? What does that even mean? Why am I writing an article about it? One sec. Let me explain. It all started when I joined a new clan after I was kicked out of my old one. The old clan was small and tiny and no one ever used it apart from trading. This new clan is a bit bigger, they let me contribute to things and people actually use it to actually talk to each other occasionally. Turns out, the… [Continue Reading]
