900 Articles of Spufiness – Giveaway

Today is quite a milestone. Yes, we have had milestones for every hundredth article we’ve posted here, but come on! This is the 900th article! That’s surely impressive, don’t you think? The Daily SPUF has kept its promise of being daily and has posted an article every single day for the last 900 days. aabicus and I have made sure of it.

In order to celebrate such a vast number of posts, we’re doing a giveaway. It’s only a small one, but I like to think it’s a nice way of saying thanks. Two lucky winners, one from SPUF and one from r/tf2/ will win a key, a hat, a tool, a random crate, two decorated weapons and two normal random weapons, and anything else I might throw in.

How can you enter? Simple. If you want to win, all you have to do is post a link to your favourite Daily SPUF article and tell us why you like it so much. For bonus fun stuff, you can also tell us what other articles you’d like to see. You can post your entry on either the SPUF thread or the Reddit thread, but nothing is stopping you from posting on both. Entries on SCUD (Steam Community User Discussions – i.e. the TF2 discussions hub on Steam) will be merged with Reddit entries.

Four extra winners, two from SPUF, two from Reddit, will get a small bonus prize of being able to request that either aabicus or I write about whatever subject they ask us to, as long as it’s vaguely related to TF2.

Winners will be picked at random, drawn from either a hat or the head of Cho’Gath, for Reddit and SPUF separately. You can enter up until our 905th article, which will be on Monday 9th November.

We’d like to thank the following people for what they’ve done:

aabicus – We wouldn’t be here without him. aabicus created the Daily SPUF and nurtured it and fed it articles and views, before handing it over to me to wrestle into shape since he’d kinda overfed it. He’s written a good 250ish articles for the Daily SPUF and kept this little blog churning whenever I’m not around to do so. Not only that, but aabicus has provided the Daily SPUF with some inside knowledge and real life info, including his visits to Bee Caves, Edge of Reality and Hawaii. No, I have no idea what I am talking about any more. So tell aabicus how great he is.

Medic – I think I’m worth thanking, what with making sure we have articles and all that. I’ve written over 350 articles for this blog. That’s over a third of all articles here. Mostly because I’m a stubborn cow and won’t let this blog die.

thesupremecommander – He’s the guy who hosts the Daily SPUF, as well as a load of other, sometimes secret stuff. Thank you matey. Even better, he updated the blog this morning, so we’re now running on WordPress 4.3.

Thank you official TF2 wiki, for making our articles more correct.

And thank you to everyone who reads our insane ramblings. I’d probably still be writing if no one read this, but not nearly as much as I am now.
