Giant Snipers
Hello there, this is Dr. Odoroki talking to all of you. I am here to give you the lowdown on how my army of robots are built and ordered. Not that it’ll mean anything to you. Ahahahaha!
So if you haven’t seen Reima’s video on my missions, I suggest you see it now right here. Medic’s blog post also works, over here. It’s the closest thing to a summary that is at current. You can see how some of these robots strike fear, and especially one player’s frustrated comment on that robot. One thing that irked me was how the player was expected to learn from dying to a Giant Sniper! I hadn’t really not seen these comments, but here I shall address why these things still run around and snipe everything down.
As with how I see it, I see MvM like a tower defense mode. Players are the towers, and waves of robots are sent at you to carry a flag. That’s the simple lowdown, but there’s more to it. Giant Snipers in particular appeal to the tower defense mode. He is a pick class that is meant to blow big holes into your defense if nobody takes him out quickly. If you ignore him (or are dominated by the other robots, which by then doesn’t matter. Hahahahaha!) then may Saxton Hale save you as he spawncamps everything fatally!
What’s he weak against, you ask? Everything!…at point blank. He’s limited to his Sniper Rifle only, so the easiest way to down his rather measly 1600 health points is to come up to melee range. As his AI will tell him to switch to his melee while he can’t, he’ll just stare at you while you kill him! Ain’t that a bummer?
Well, that’s all for today! I have to get back to make some more robots to invade your little bases and hatches, so hope you learned something new today! Not that it will help! Hahahaha!
