The Sensible SPUFer

“Come on, Medic, it’ll be fun!” aabicus tried to convince the busy doctor. “Everyone’s going out trick or treating! Why won’t you?” Medic had been ignoring the gaggle of SPUFers behind him for about an hour now and they still hadn’t got the hint. He was still having flashbacks to last Halloween, when he let his brother borrow his lab coat and an old, broken medi-pack, and won a costume contest. Everyone called him a Ghostbuster. Meanwhile, no one had recognized Medic, wearing a grey suit and a paper mask, and he’d spent the evening protecting his sister from a… [Continue Reading]

5 More of My Favorite Nude Mods on Steam

(Heads up! These images are pixel-censored, but this is still definitely a Not-Safe-For-Work article. Please also assume that all links will be to NSFW sites) My previous article on nude mods is one of our most popular despite a complete absence of advertising on our part. In the seven months since being published, it has consistently charted in our Top Ten Most Viewed every single day and I’d be silly to not do a follow-up. But actually, I’d have trouble writing a sequel because I don’t want to endorse any mods I haven’t personally used, and I stuck most of my favorites… [Continue Reading]

Concrete Jungle

Concrete Jungle is a random game that I got from that Clickteam Fusion humble bundle that Aaby shilled out a couple weeks ago.  Its basically a puzzle game built around cards and deck building with a vague city building theme.  It’s fairly good, better than I thought it would be, and is currently the game with the most playtime out of the whole bundle.  Then again, half those games apparently don’t run on Windows 10, but that’s a rant for another time. CJ starts you off with a grid and a small deck of cards.  Each card is a building… [Continue Reading]

Skyrim Special Edition – First Looks

Well, I’ve just spent ninety one minutes playing TESV Skyrim Special Edition. And now I’m going to tell you what it’s like. In that hour and a half, I did the whole cart ride, created my first new character, gone through the whole Helgen sequence and made my way to Whiterun. I stopped playing just inside Whiterun’s gates, having forgotten that I don’t have Open Cities installed. Currently, this is all unmodded. The first thing I notice is the new startup menu. There’s a distinct lack of addons on this menu. Otherwise it’s mostly the same. There’s several changes on… [Continue Reading]

My Little Specter

My little Specter, made out of glitter. Cost a ton of credits, they’re all dimwits. So silly and derpy, their AI is wonky. No real uses, unless they’re Ancient bitches. My little Specter, why did I bother? I’ve had the crafting recipes for all three kinds of Warframe specter, plus Ancient Healer specters, plus Moas and all sorts for ages. I’d never used any of them because I wasn’t really sure what they did. But really, I was more scared that, once I made a bunch of them, I’d lose the blueprints – after all, you lose the blueprints when… [Continue Reading]

Day of Deceit

A couple of days ago I was watching a YouTube video showing upcoming shooters. Overall, nothing really caught my eye. The “new” ones I’d seen before and I hadn’t found them interesting to begin with, and the others were remasters. But one game… One game most DEFINITELY caught my attention. Days of War. Now you may be pondering why this one game had caught me hook, line and sinker while the other games hadn’t even managed a blip on my radar. There’s a very, VERY good reason for that. You see, I was a Day of Defeat: Source player for… [Continue Reading]

Things that are Annoying to Play Against

Over in Warframe, I’ve recently begun to encounter Nullifiers. Nullifiers have the ability to create shield-like bubbles which prevent them being damaged from outside the bubble. These enemy units are typically a bit of a nuisance to deal with, because they protect other enemies inside their bubbles. On the plus side, these bubbles shrink and power down, and there’s a clear way of dealing with them – you need to get into the bubble and punch them in the face. It’s not the best, but Nullifiers make for a somewhat needed roadblock to stop you completely steamrolling everything. Back here… [Continue Reading]

Another look at Casual Matchmaking

Oh look! A Team Fortress 2 article! That’s a genuine surprise. Except it’s not, because Halloween is here, and Scream Fortress has always been my favourite event of the year. This year, not so much, but that’s really for another article. Yes, I wanted to have another look at Casual Matchmaking. What made me want to write this was the fact that I spent half an hour in one match, on Ghostfort (the Lakeside Event map). This map is incredibly long at the best of times, but casual matchmaking’s best of 3, combined with people being unfamiliar with the map,… [Continue Reading]

Thoughts on Scream Fortress VIII

This is going to be a short article. Why? Because Scream Fortress VIII (8 for those who can’t read Roman numerals) is short. There’s not a lot going on with it. It’s a continuation from last year. There is actually very little to talk about. Actually, to show just how little there is to talk about, the biggest criticism about Scream Fortress VIII so far has absolutely nothing to do with Scream Fortress, but with competitive matchmaking. Badlands and Granary were both removed from the competitive pool, and replaced with Turbine and Badwater, two maps that simply aren’t friendly with… [Continue Reading]

Playthroughs of the Past

I still have my very first save in Skyrim. Made back in 2014, it’s just named 001 Prisoner. It’s the first save the game automatically creates, just before you actually go and create your character. After the long, pretty boring cart ride. Rather than sit through said cart ride, I always use this save when I start a new Skyrim playthrough. Of course, like any character customization, I always spend a while on it. Then I end up fucking up my character and starting again. After that, I give up and tweak a default character and go with that instead.… [Continue Reading]
