An Autistic Space Kid – The Chains of Harrow Update

So the Chains of Harrow update is here, on time and chock-block full of stuff. Earth got remastered, melee weapon Riven Mods are now a thing, there’s a new update, a ton of QOL changes, raids being broken again and a new quest. I’m just going to talk about the quest, because a lot of this stuff would be better off in their own articles. Just so you know, tons of spoilers ahead. But it was obvious from the update page alone that the subject of this quest, Rell, was autistic. Couldn’t have made it more obvious if they’d tried.… [Continue Reading]

The Amazon Prime/Twitch Prime Trial is really damn hard to get

Editor’s note: The Twitch Prime offer has been extended multiple times. Unfortunately the extra Frost Prime didn’t make it, he got sold to make room for Nidus. Turned out forma’ing the aura slot wasn’t as good as I expected it to be. There is currently a second offer, giving you a free Soma Prime and Scindo Prime. Also this article is somewhat out of date as Twitch and Amazon have streamlined the free trial process, it now works much better. So there’s some nice Twitch Prime deals right now, accessible via the 7 day Twitch Prime trial. You can get… [Continue Reading]

The Mummy (2017) Review – Meh

Oh hey, Medic’s late to reviewing a movie! Oh well, doesn’t matter, I might end up saving you a few quid. The only reason I went was because The Mummy, the first film of Universal Studios’ new Dark Universe series, was the only film on at 10pm on a Saturday at my local movie place. The four of us (me, my siblings and my cousin) had already seen the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie. While Pirates of the Caribbean movie was a standard kids’ movie making money off an already existing franchise and merchandise that I didn’t feel mentioning,… [Continue Reading]

A Debacle about Data Mining

Just before the release of several updates – the new Warframe Harrow, the opening of the Void Vault for Mag and Rhino Prime and their yearly Tennocon, Digital Extremes’ lawyers got very jumpy and sent what was essentially a cease and desist letter to VoiD_Glitch, the main person behind the data mining of Warframe. VoiD_Glitch has removed the public GitHub repository for his data mining stuff. This has caused a huge uproar in the more knowledgeable parts of the Warframe community. Now everyone is pissed off, shouting and screaming that they can’t trust the developers with their own game, and… [Continue Reading]

Magical Sword-Wielding Maniac Space Ninja Poster Children

In my earliest Warframe ramblings, I always mentioned that I was never a fan of Excalibur, the poster child of Warframe. He just seemed too loved by everyone else, and in my nonsensical ways, I tend to dislike things that are loved by everyone else. Plus, being a newbie, I found myself playing with a lot of Excaliburs, while my little Volt would just trail behind them. They were everywhere, with their weird, overly basic looks and their complete lack of eyes. My discontent for Excalibur continued until I decided one day to go and fight Ambulas, the boss on… [Continue Reading]

Skeletal Irritation

There are a lot of enemies in Serious Sam 3: BFE. And one of them manages to be a constant thorn in my ribs throughout. People, I present to you all with utmost disgust, the Kleer Skeletons.   The Kleers have a ranged attack in the form of bolas that they start chucking at you the moment they get line of sight. And when they get close enough, they’ll pounce at you with their scythe-like claws held high, looking like an overly-enthusiastic Grim Reaper apprentice that forgot his robes. But their greatest strength is in numbers, since Kleer Skeletons rarely, if… [Continue Reading]

Random ideas for Warframe that aren’t enough to make a whole article out of.

I am not an ideas person. I have little ideas but never do much else with them. And 99% of the time, my ideas are not enough to write an entire article about, unless it’s that weird Medi Gun I suggested a while back. So today, after browsing on the not-quite-as-circlejerky-as-the-official-forums place known as r/warframe, I decided to just write my ideas down in a giant lump and leave the rest of you to deal with them. An Upgrade Foundry Component The pet-breeding area in your ship has an upgrade component which stops your mutant cats and dogs from dying,… [Continue Reading]

The Co-op scary-mutant-monster-zombie shooting game Killing Floor is currently free on Humble Bundle Store for a limited time – until June 24th! It requires having a Humble Bundle website account to access, and the game key is sent to your email address and added to your account. The Free To Play Business Model

For some context, take a look at this video: Basically, when OB51 arrived in Paladins, a lot of complains had rose from Reddit and YouTube about the painfully large amounts of grind that everyone faced, with the only way out being sinking money to buy Founder’s Packs and boosters. And when I said “grind”, I don’t mean grinding for cosmetics. The grind is for loadout cards which players need to play the game well. The customizable loadout card system is one of the unique selling points of Paladins. And this marks the second time Paladin’s business model’s under fire, with… [Continue Reading]

Speaking Up for the Speedster’s Spandex

I finally managed to have some spare cash to spend on things I like that isn’t my almost-daily Mr Bean indulgence. No, I’m not referring to the British gem of comedy portrayed by the wonderful Sir Rowan Atkinson, I’m referring to the rather popular dessert chain around here that has a branch near the train station. Anyways, I bought a few cosmetics from the new Rainy Day Cosmetic Case. One of the first things I noticed is this: Why in the world is the Speedster’s Spandex so cheap? Even the stupid pocket cosmetic (man I hate those things) costs more than… [Continue Reading]
