Three Ways to Get Rich Without Playing the Index

I am so damn tired of the Index. Yes, even the easy version is by far the best way to make a fuckton of money in a not very long time. If you have a proper set of weapons for the Index and a Rhino or Trinity, you’re basically good to go. It’s not even that difficult. But the Index is so boring and same-y and nothing ever changes about it.

That being said, there have always been ways to get rich in Warframe. Ways that do not involve playing the Index. Here’s the three best ways to get rich.

Tip 1: Dark Sector missions.

Dark Sector missions are the remnants of old Clan VS Clan content, but are now just normal missions against Infested that grant more credits, resources and affinity. Seimeni on Ceres is by far the best since it’s an easy defense mission that pays 20,000 credits minimum, but other optional places are Akkad on Eris and Sangeru on Sedna. If you fancy a chance of pace and want a chance at a quick 400 endo, then Hieracon is also good, even if it’s Excavation. Don’t play Sechura on Pluto because that map is fucking huge and by the time you’ve done that, you could have done two other Dark Sector missions.

Stalker happened to ruin this Seimeni speedrun, but I can normally get Seimeni done in about 3 minutes.

Tip 2: Sorties

A sortie a day gets you one hundred k. The sortie itself may give you anything from an Anasa Ayatan Sculpture to a Legendary Core (although normally the former) but the three sortie missions themselves actually give a good amount of credits. The first mission gives you 20k, the second gives you 30k and the last gives you 50k.

You can’t replay Sortie missions and get the credit reward, if you do play them again, you just get whatever credits you pick up. That being said, Eximus Stronghold missions are worth replaying as they can get you huge amounts of affinity and Focus. Still, that’s a good 100k credits guaranteed if you do the sortie every day.

Tip 3: Sell the crap you don’t need.

This mostly consists of Harrow Chassis and Oberon parts, but you can also sell spare Khora, Gara and Revenant pieces which you might get if you play a lot of Sanctuary Onslaught or do Bounties on the Plains of Eidolon. Also included here are Orvius parts (obtained by doing Kuva missions), weapon parts from bosses that drop them (e.g. Seer, Miter, Twin Kohmak) and some sellable resources like the ones used in the Pyrus Project.

A word of warning: Never sell Warframe blueprints or items that came from quests. Because you might not be able to get them back.

You can also sell duplicate mods for a VAST amount of credits, but it’s generally better to turn spare mods into endo, which is required for all those Primed mods that are floating around.

That's a lot of mods.

Seriously, though, check your inventory occasionally.

Bonus Tip: Use your First Win of the Day bonus

The first mission you successfully complete in a day will grant you a double credit bonus. This stacks with Dark Sector missions, the first mission of a Sortie AND the Index, although the bonus isn’t displayed after a successful Index mission.

Using these tips, there’s no excuse to be poor. Unless you spent all your credits on Pedestal Primes… Anyway, happy farming, Tenno!
