The 5 Best Pistols in Payday 2

As your starter secondary of choice and the cornerstone of the Fugitive skill trees, pistols are one of the core weapon categories in Payday 2. How do you choose which pistol is the best?

Well, everyone will have a different list, but here’s mine!

Number 1 – The best all-around pistol is the Baby Deagle, it’s got the damage output of the magnums with the concealment, firing speeds and versatility of the smaller caliber options. If you don’t have the Ultimate edition, the White Streak is a base game option that only suffers from fewer available mods

Number 2 – The Bernetti is the best pistol if you want to maximize your concealment, as its the only pistol in the game that can reach a concealment of 34. This is due to the unique +3 concealment boost that very few weapons can equip, including

Number 3 – The Bronco is the first and one of the best revolvers in the Payday series. It has a great combination of damage and concealment, plus it reloads really fast to boot. Shame it can’t equip laser sights. Neither can

Number 4 – The Parabellum is nevertheless another very powerful pistol option, dealing far more damage than its real-world counterpart could possibly justify. I only prefer the Baby Deagle because of the Parabellum’s lack of gadgets and decent iron sights.

Finally, number 5 is the STRYK, the only pistol that comes with an alternate full-auto firing mode. Bring the Stryk if you want to use pistol skills with an honorary SMG. I love the STRYK so much I’m honestly offended they didn’t include it in Overkill’s the Walking Dead. Come on Overkill, show our favorite machine pistol some love.

Bonus number 6, the 5/7 pistol has the unique ability to penetrate shields and enemy armor. Because of this unique ability its a great backup weapon for when you don’t want to bring an armor-penetrating primary on a heist with a lot of shields, which is every heist.

(Bonus number 7, just for you article readers so we can hit 400 words, The Signature 40 is my personal favorite pistol for when you’ve just gone infamous and are stuck at level 0. Good hipfire/ADS accuracy, damage, magazine capacity, and concealment for the early-level Dodge builds. It’s actually one of the few pistols with an expanded-magazine mod that doesn’t affect concealment. Overall another solid all-rounder.)

That’s all for now, thanks for watching, this is aabicus with the SPUF of Legend, keep those helmets flying!
