The Five Worst Weapon Farms in Warframe

There are a LOT of weapons in Warframe. So many in fact that I regularly forget that some weapons exist. While there are a multitude of weapons available, the grind to obtain many of them is not balanced in the slightest. In fact, some of these weapons are so difficult to farm that it’s easier just to buy them. Except, well, some weapons really just can’t be bought.

In this article, we’ll be looking at the worst weapon farms in Warframe.

Miter, Seer, Cronus, boss weapons

These weapons aren’t that hard to get. After all, Warframe bosses are kinda lame. But the issue with these weapons is that the drop chances aren’t great, and sometimes you need to reacquire them. At least, I had to reacquire them since I accidentally sold my Seer and Cronus before getting them to level 30.

The Miter on the other hand is simply evil. Sure, the tag team of Lech Kril and Vor aren’t that dangerous. But the Mitre requires five components: blueprint, barrel, blade, handle and chassis. With so many parts, it’s incredibly easy to get duplicates and fail to obtain the parts you need. In fact, the farm for the Miter is harder than the farm for Frost, a Warframe that drops in the same tag team assassination!

Ambassador and Railjack weapons

The weapons that drop in Railjack missions are kinda weird. Some drop from secondary or bonus objectives, but others only drop by finishing missions. Others still can only be obtained on C rotation in endless Railjack nodes like Corpus Survival. I suppose, at least you can focus on what drops you want, but Railjack missions are kinda long.

Well, actually, no, they’re quite short if you do Grineer missions. But Corpus missions are so long-winded and tedious.

However, there is some light at the end of the tunnel. You can at least pick and choose which Tenet melee weapons you want to buy. The grind is pretty shitty, but you have options. But frankly, there should be a vendor of sorts for every weapon. Because it is all literally luck when it comes to these missions.

Arum Spinosa and Isolation Vault weapons

Actually, now I think about it, ALL the gear related to Isolation Vaults are a pain in the ass to obtain. Arum Spinosa is just one of many. Between Necramech parts, Necramech weapon parts AND the infested weapons tied to Deimos, there’s so much to farm for.

But to make matters worse, the missions are insanely long. You have to sit around defending an object, then you need to do a survival, then defeat a boss, and THEN you need to finally escort Loid and Otak to the vault. That’s only half the journey though, since you also need to do bounties while inside the isolation vaults.

It’s so damn tedious, and the reward pool is so bloated, that the whole farm for these weapons put me off playing Deimos missions overall.

Braton and Lato Vandal

I love Vandal weapons, but fucking hell the two starter varient Vandal weapons are such a pain in the ass to obtain. Components and blueprints all drop from Elite Sanctuary Onslaught. However, the drop chances are incredibly low, an you only get a payout after every two completed zones. This is another case of there being too many potential rewards. Between the relics, the useless synthetic Eidolon shards and the captura scenes, it can easily take forever to get what you want.

Infested Clan Weapons

Two words: Mutagen Masses. These things are so damn awful to farm. If you do invasions, that’s one or two Mutagen Masses at best, requiring you to do 3 missions for one lousy mass. But, weirdly, unlike Fieldrons and Detonite, Invasion missions only ever drop one or two, compared to the guaranteed three for Corpus and Grineer invasions.

But at the same time, many of the weapons that require Mutagen Masses require way more than similar weapons from the Corpus and Grineer labs in dojos. And that’s ignoring the research costs. For reasons unknown, you need a huge number of Mutagen Samples just ti get the research done.

Sure, you can do Fortuna bounties for a chance at Mutagen thingies, but they are either inconsistent or, most importantly, just as long a grind as doing Invasions. Perhaps even longer, if a bounty has the worst tasks.

Bonus: Baro Weapons

Finally, we come to weapons brought by the Void Trader. While Baro normally just gives you the whole gun, there’s still a lot of work to do. Many of the weapons Baro brings require a huge amount of Ducats, but are also mastery-locked, so you can’t buy them if you are too low a level. However, while farming Ducats is somewhat simple, you just have. well, no idea what Baro will bring.

On console, its actually a bit easier though. On consoles, Baro Ki’Teer’s inventory is two weeks behind PC’s inventory. So you know what’s coming and can farm ducats as needed. PC players on the other hand can only guess what weapons Baro will bring. One of the worst waits was the Prova Vandal, which disappeared from Baro’s potential inventory entirely, and it remained missing from Baro’s inventory for a good few months.

The actually worst weapon farm: The Sibear

Why the fuck does this thing cost 30000 Cryotic? It’s not even a good weapon! You have to successfully finish 300 EXCAVATORS to get this damn thing.

Seriously, fuck the Sibear. It sucks ass.

And there you have it, the most annoying weapon farms in Warframe.
