Liches VS Bitches

After much waiting, we finally have personalized bosses for both the Corpus and the Grineer. But which of these personalized bosses are better than the other? Well, that’s what I hope we will discover here. But it’s often tricky to compare across factions, because the Grineer and the Corpus have very different outlooks on existence.

Basically the same both ways

The mechanics for both Sisters of Parvos and Kuva Liches are pretty damn similar. They’ll grab a planet (Venus or Earth) and then crawl across the solar system as you meet them more. You’ll need to find out the requiem mod combination to kill them, and they both have thralls which give you progress between each fight. Once you work out how to kill them, you zoom off in your Railjack to board their ship and fight your Sister or Lich for the first time.

Sisters are a bit quicker

A good thing about the Sisters is that there’s less time between finding out what requiem mods you need. This is because, while there are far fewer Hounds compared to Thralls, the Hounds give far more experience towards your next murmurs. However, Hounds are also trickier to fight. A Lich’s Thrall will do standard shooting stuff, occasionally getting a dask or super jump in. But the Houds spam various attacks, making them hard to see in the chaos.

However, Sisters seem to take longer to die. Both Liches and Sisters have some sort of damage resistance, but Liches actually look armoured, compared to the Sisters.

More importantly though, GETTING a Sister in the first place is a lot more tiring. You have to do a Granum Void activity before a Sister spawns for you. Way more work than “kill 10 enemies when the lights flicker” for Grineer.

Kinda Equal on Guns

We’ve got a big bunch of both Kuva and Tenet weapons now, and most of them are genuinely good to use. The way I see it, the best weapons from both Liches and Sisters are pretty damn similar. I’d even go as far as to say that Tenet weapons may be slightly better. The bigger problem though is that Sister weapons are split in two – Tenet melee weapons exist but you have to buy them from Ergo Glast, the head of the Perrin Sequence. Why the Sisters don’t have them, I have no idea.

The unique Kuva and Tenet weapons are pretty cool though. Sisters can have the Tenet Envoy, a rocket launcher that doubles up as a suitcase, while Kuva Liches are way less discrete with their Kuva Bramma and Kuva Chakkhurr, which both pack powerful punches.

Lich Personalities are better

I hate to say it, but Kuva Lich personalities are all-round much better. They feel like they are enjoying what they are doing. The Sisters on the other hand are all “Parvos this!” and “Parvos that!”. It gets tiring quickly. Meanwhile, not only do male Liches get the best (and technically only) voice lines, the female Lich personalities are better as well. There’s so much grovelling for Parvos Granum, to the point that it’s actually kinda grating.

Meanwhile, Kuva Liches will mention the Twin Queens occasionally, but most of their lines are directed at us.

But really, there’s a bit of divide to these personalities. Kuva Liches are chosen and made into Liches because the Queens hate us, and are angry because we tried to kill them. Parvos however is doing all this because, well, he always wanted a sister.

Sisters are too reliant on both dogs and specters

Really, the Sisters don’t even do that much. It’s their hound companions that do most of the work. Once you confront your Sister, she is given extra Hounds and a handful of Warframe Specters to keep her safe. In fact, most Sisters of Parvos are actually very thin and have bad posture. If it wasn’t for their ability spam, then someone could easily snap them in two.

On the flip side, Kuva Liches will attack you directly. They’re built for aggression and war, wearing heavy armour and Kuva weapons, while also using their Warframe-like abilities a bit more.

At the end of the day, Sisters of Parvos are alright, but the Kuva Liches are, at least, more fun to fight against.
