5 Cheeky Ways of Obtaining Extra Loot in Warframe

Warframe, at its core, is a looter shooter. You farm for resources to build and upgrade all of your gear. But sometimes, you need a little bit of help and some extra loot, and are too afraid to ask. While the Warframe wiki can help with where you find resources, there’s actually a few ways to get what you need, in-game, with surprising ease.

Today, we’re going to discuss five cheeky ways of obtaining more loot than normal.

Follow and impress a MR25-30 player.

When playing Warframe on public, you are thrown into a squad of players that are all different levels. While it may be scary to join a match and see a high MR player, but this is a good thing. Not only will the more experienced players create more loot for you, but they may also mark rare resources, or show you things you’d normally miss. If you’re very lucky, they may help you take down Stalker or something.

But also, this one comes first because, well, some people are easy to impress. Several members in my clan have actually managed to do this, the most recent one being a random Volt in Sanctuary onslaught. If you are a low level player, keeping up with veterans, then you may be rewarded. But more importantly, feel free to chat higher MR players. They don’t know everything but at least you might learn something. Personally, just being vocal and conversing with the team is enough for me, a True Master, a reason to have some extra loot.

Make sure you actually do keep up though, and that you’re not leeching off other players. Keep on working on the objectives and good things will come to those who are patient.

Play with a Smeeta Kavat as or with a Khora or Nekros on the regular

Honestly?  Smeeta Kavats are insanely random, but also insanely strong. Their buffs include extra reload speed, increased critical chance or even extra loot dropped by dead enemies. Smeeta abilities are also unique because they can stack with each other, and with normal resource boosters. I once got 8 Steel Essence because a Smeeta gave me their loot buff two times in a row. Seriously, Smeeta Kavats are crazy.

You can speed this up faster by using the loot augments for Khora and Nekros, producing even more loot. The loot buffs between frames don’t really stack, but the more loot you create, the higher the chance of finding something nice. And if you have the aforementioned Smeeta Kavat, then you’ll possibly get even more!

Log into Warframe and hope

Warframe has a nice little feature. Every time you log in, you are given a daily tribute, a thank you for logging in. At first, you don’t get much from the daily tributes. Occasionally though, you may get a Forma blueprint or even a resource booster. The daily tributes over time get better, but you need to use the resources while you get the chance, and you do need to log in regularly.

Basically, it’s worth logging in daily, even if you’re not playing much Warframe. Not only can you stumble across 75% discounts, but the higher your login counter, the longer any boosters you get can last for. For me, at 1700 daily logins, any booster I get lasts for 50 hours, just over two days.

Sit in a relay for a bit.

This is actually what I do sometimes. Sure, most of the time, relays are empty. Some are emptier than others. But at various times of the week, you get a sudden influx of players. After all, Baro Ki’Teer pedals his wares every two weeks, and the new Dax in Maroo’s Bazaar is also around.

In these relays, the True Master font is waiting to be used. This allows a MR30+ player to bestow a gift on all Tenno within a relay. Most of the time, the feature gets little loose. But when Baro Ki’Teer or whoever comes along, you are much more likely to see the font in use. But the interesting thing is that the True Master buffs are stackable in some way. If too MR30 players both do (for example) an Affinity blessing, then you will get 6 hours of Affinity blessings instead of just 3 hours. Stick around long enough and you can leave a relay with all the blessings, each of which will last 6-12 hours. Just make sure to say thank you in chat when you’re done.

I do wish however that we could do this in Fortuna and Cetus. Would be nice. A way to return to our ships without going through the pause menu would also be nice, just for a bit of immersion.

Literally just ask

Seriously, just ask in the various chats. A lot of common questions are happily answered not just by the bot, but also other people in the chat. Sometimes, they’ll give you free, critical mods that you need, just by asking. That’s actually how I managed to get my first Split Chamber mod, which gives you multishot. At the very least, if no one will give you anything, they’ll give you some tips on how to find what you are looking for.

At the end of the day, being nice to other players can go a long, long way. Sure, there are the occasional assholes in chat and people ranting mid-mission. But they are few and far between. Most of the community will try to help you. All you have to do is ask.
