On Writing Over 2000 Articles – Medic’s 2000th article
Writing articles is interesting. With a story, you can normally do what you like, and everything has a chronological order. Articles on the other hand aren’t always as chronological. Non-fiction stuff requires research and sources, and opinion pieces tend to need backing up in some way. Writing in general is somewhat like a magical path, with lots of potential ways to go.
But writing is also pretty difficult. Taking the words in your head and putting them on paper can be a chore. And when it comes to writing consistently, it’s easy to get dissuaded and upset if you can’t get anything done.
Anyway, today, we celebrate my 2000 articles.
“But wait, Medic, you already celebrated 2000 articles!”
Thank you, mysterious question-submitting person, you are quite right. We did a 2000 articles celebration a while ago. We also did one for 3000 articles. But those numbers contain every person who has contributed to the site. No, here, I am celebrating my own 2000 articles.
The 2000 articles we are celebrating here are all my own. I’ve written 2000 articles for the Daily SPUF, and I still have more to come. I am a single person who has written over 2000 articles on one website. One person. Two thousand articles. Frankly, when you use big numbers like “two” and “thousand”, it’s even more impressive.
And you know what’s even more insane? I’m nearly at 2000 articles on my fictional website as well.
Let’s Celebrate!
In order to celebrate this achievement, I guess I should do a giveaway of sorts. I mean, we kinda do have to celebrate. It’s not every day that someone manages to write 2000 articles.
For this little celebration, I’m going to be giving out some random Warframe stuff. Warframe has really helped me with these 2000 articles, having given me plenty of content to write about. It only seems right that I give away some stuff.
So, from today until December 10th 2021, I’ll be giving out some bits and pieces. You’ll get anything trade-able, including Prime Parts, random mining and fishing stuff, various mods of various rarities, and Ayatan Stars and Sculptures. To take part, send a friend request to Retvik in Warframe, with a note saying “Happy 2000th Post, Medic!” or something similar. Once you’ve sent the request, I’ll try and catch you online and trade random stuff to you. If you’re very lucky, you might get some Platinum too!
I’m also still giving away Ignis Wraith blueprints. If you are MR9 or higher, again, send a friend request to Retvik, with a note that says “Please give me an Ignis Wraith BP”. As soon as I see your message, I’ll get in touch and give you some blueprints, in exchange for Ammo Drums and Redirection mods. If you are MR8 or below, send me a message anyway and as soon as you hit MR9, I’ll trade you some blueprints.
Please note that this is for PC only. When Warframe’s crossplay comes out and we’re more certain about how trading will work, I’ll do a second giveaway thingy for consoles in the future.
Technically, we’re already well past my 2000th article
This article right here isn’t the 2000th article. It’s actually a post-2000th article. The thing is, I don’t know which article even WAS the 2000th article. There’s just so many of them. It’s either the article about lacking distance in Pokemon GO, or the article about the Sunshot. MAYBE it’s the article about the 1 million meter K-Drive achievement. I don’t know any more.
Thing is though, there are more articles. My 2000th articles listed here don’t include the 10 or so articles I have written on other accounts. The Garen and Phovos accounts have a handful of articles of their own. Sure, it’s only 14 articles, but that’s 2000 articles plus 14. It’s not worth stressing over. Technically it does mean that my 2000th article was in fact two weeks ago, but oh well.
Anyway, this was vaguely amusing. I’ll see you at the 3000th article. Maybe. That’s a long, long way off though.
Cheers, everyone!
Man, that’s just insane. Two-thousand articles! That’s a staggering amount of content, crazy impressive.
Don’t forget that period of time where you would grab people’s unfinished articles and cap them out to 500 words on the topic. You deserve at least half an article for each of those. Congrats overall!
Oh you are absolutely right, I forgot about those!
Congrats Medic!
Thank you!
