So Much Loot that it Caused Performance Issues

The nice thing about Sea of Thieves is that every single outing has something different going on. The previous time I played, we had a sloop following us for several miles, playing a game of cat and mouse. This time however, we had, well, insanity on our hands. What started out as a normal Veil mission ended up in… Well… Uh… I don’t know. It’s hard to describe. We’d just finished our first Veil quest when this happened. The plan was to spend our day doing Veil voyages, getting progress towards one of the best hats in the game. And,… [Continue Reading]

Missing Weather Effects in Pokemon GO

It’s funny how sometimes I miss really simple things. As I write this article, it has been raining outside. Not a huge amount, no floods or anything, but wet enough to warrant an umbrella. The sound of rain falling, alongside the odd splash of a car going through a puddle can often be quite relaxing. It’s also relaxing to sit inside on a rainy day, wrapped up and catching Pokemon with an incense. What I also like about Pokemon GO is how the weather in the app matches the weather outside. Or, at least, it tries to. Lately though, Pokemon… [Continue Reading]

5 Random Things to Try If Games are Running Slow

Every computer is unique. Which means everyone’s gaming experiences will be unique. While one game may run fine, another might not. But as time passes and things update and change, so does your gaming experience. For example, I was playing Warframe without issue before the Deimos Arcana update, then, after the update, got a lot of hitching. On the flip side, Minecraft was running fine. These hitches, lag spikes and more are all completely random and unique, different from person to person. And computer to computer. Or even the same computer at different times of the day. After some messing… [Continue Reading]

Slow Internet Connections and You

It’s funny isn’t it? How slow internet speeds can really piss you off. Should your internet connection suddenly disappear (generally because of power cuts or whatever), you get a little angry about it, but then you calm down and move on. There is nothing you can do, so you get over your losses and move on. But slow internet connections? They are one of the most rage-inducing things in existence, alongside things like stubbing your toe and stepping on LEGO pieces. The opportunity to get things done, to watch your video or view a gif of a kitten falling over… [Continue Reading]

Weird things that happen when Warframe gets laggy

Lag is a universal thing. Everyone can get a bad internet connection simply because we’re lazy, cheap beings who can’t ever do anything properly. Luckily for me and my shitty connection and overall bad location in general, Warframe is actually somewhat playable, even up to 300+ ping. Which happens sometimes, because each mission is peer-to-peer, rather than it all being hosted on one server. That being said, strange things can happen when your connection starts bouncing around. Doors Stop Opening By far the most common issue is when doors, which are reliant on the host’s connection, start to falter. At… [Continue Reading]
