Oh, Hey, Shiny Mewtwo Is Here in Pokemon Go…

What was that? Is that the sound of Mewtwo coming around to kick my Pokemon’s asses as he reappears in level 5 raids for a week? Why yes, yes it is! As of Monday (well, Tuesday for people not in the Americas), Mewtwo is replacing Deoxys as the level 5 raid boss and, for the first time ever, he’s appearing in shiny form. On Articuno

I have way more pent up anger towards non-existent monsters than I have any real right to have. Just yesterday I was complaining about how Latias was a right little bitch, and now I’m about to go on another 500 word rant about another Pokemon. Back in early 2018, Niantic created Research Breakthroughs, a reward for doing field research tasks and doing a new one every day. Do 7 days worth of field research and you’re rewarded with an encounter with a mysterious Pokemon, which changed every month. First off you could get Articuno, then Zapdos, then Moltres, then the legendary doggos Raikou, Entei and Suicine, followed by the rather odd choice of Shedinja. If you timed your field research well enough, you could obtain four or even five of each Pokemon during the months in which they were available. In December 2018, Niantic announced… [Continue Reading]
