On Using Low Forma Warframe Builds

I don’t like using Forma on my Warframes. Having done so much leveling stuff up over the years, I generally dislike the idea of having to level something again. I’m Legendary Rank 2 and have done my fair share of leveling things up, and using Forma means exactly that, more leveling. I also dislike having things that are not leveled up, they look messy in my arsenal, and the only weapons I allow to be under-leveled are Kuva and Tenet weapons, which require five Forma EACH. While I don’t mind leveling weapons that much, I really dislike leveling Warframes for… [Continue Reading]

Legendary Rank 2

So, after a really weird grind, I finally made my way to Legendary 2, the current (at the time of writing) highest rank you can get. I originally wasn’t actually chasing after Legendary Rank 2, but after playing a bit of Citrine’s Last Wish, I realized I was way closer than I thought. So I decided why not, and went ahead to farm a few things. And by farming, I mostly mean trading. After selling a Legendary Core (probably the one I got for reaching Legendary Rank 1, ironically), I put some platinum to one side and traded for Khora… [Continue Reading]

Not Bothering with the Legendary Ranks anymore…

I think, finally, after all these years, I think I can stop chasing new mastery. It’s been a long, long ride. A multi-year long ride, to get to the prestigious rank of True Master. And then we went beyond that, entering the Legendary Ranks of 1 and, soon, 2. There are enough items in Warframe to level up that we have hit Mastery Rank 32. But is it still worth chasing? We now know what’s after True Master. From what we’ve seen so far, it seems quite simple. Both Legendary 1 and Legendary 2 ranks require doing the same things… [Continue Reading]

No Longer Battling for Mastery

When True Master finally became accessible back in 2020, I worked hard to reach it. After all, the title of True Master was what I had been aiming for, for ages. The ultimate rank, above everything else. Attaining True Master wasn’t always a dream. Heck, I never thought I’d go past MR18, having unlocked the entirety of Warframe when it came to mastery. But here I am, sitting at not just True Master, but Legendary 1. A whole extra level AFTER becoming True Master. And I still have plenty of new gear to level up. It’s not going to stop.… [Continue Reading]

My Problem With Mastery Locks on Weapons

The other day, I mentioned a low MR Volt, who had just begun his adventure. As we played with him, he asked a lot of questions. His biggest one was “where can I find a good AOE weapon for my MR?” That’s a genuinely great question, because Warframe has a LOT of enemies and you need a lot of them killed. Back then, at MR4, the only weapon we could really recommend was the Hek, since most explosive weapons unlock at MR5 or higher. Eventually, we gave the guy some suggestions, as well as a lot of probably unnecessary help.… [Continue Reading]

Mastery Rank 30 – True Master

It’s only taken me four years, but here I am, a True Master in Warframe. After so long farming and grinding, I’ve mastered literally every single item in the game. As of writing, I have mastered all in-game items aside from Founders Gear, including the newly released Nezha Prime and the Vitrica, a new Orokin sword. After mastering those few items, I was then tasked with one more trial: the test for Mastery Rank 30. It didn’t cost me too much. After I hit Mastery Rank 29, I basically caught up with everything. I finished off my Intrinsics using a… [Continue Reading]

MR29

Mastery Rank 29 became available for all players alongside the Deadlock Protocol. For ages, really, since the Railjack update, most players couldn’t reach MR29. The reason was simple: only Founding players had enough items to reach the amount of mastery needed for MR29. Everyone else was left with a 6,000 standing gap between MR28 and MR29, with no items to master. The Deadlock Protocol fixed that. We actually got a pretty good amount of mastery with this update. 6,000 for Protea herself, 6,000 for a MOA and 15,000 for assorted weapons. But really, to reach MR29, we only needed 6,000… [Continue Reading]

I Mastered Every Item in Warframe Except for Founder Items

I have officially just mastered every weapon in Warframe. Except for Founder items. It’s been a grueling 3 years of grinding, but for now, I’m done. And to think that I was going to stop at 18 because I didn’t think Mastery mattered that much. It doesn’t, but that’s not the point. My point is that I have mastered literally everything apart from the unobtainable Excalibur Prime, Skana Prime and Lato Prime. And it was hell. Especially at the end. Once I hit MR28, I was only missing a few things. Namely Archwing items, K-Drives and whatever new Prime stuff… [Continue Reading]

What Could A Mastery Rank 30 Test Even Be?

The other day I mentioned how I had reached Mastery Rank 28, almost completely by surprise. In that article, I briefly discussed I was curious what the MR29 and MR30 tests would be, but there’s a bit more to it than that. After all, a Mastery Rank test generally involves testing a specific skill and using the right tools for the job. You can do almost any test using a plain old Excalibur, using (often a well Forma’d) Braton, Lato and Skana, but as your arsenal increases, there are better ways to do tests. A handful of these tests also… [Continue Reading]

Mastery Rank 28

Hitting Mastery Rank 28 actually came to me as a bit of a surprise. It turned out I was much, much closer to MR28 than I had assumed, due to the fact that there had been a small trickle of content ever since I hit MR27. In fact, I managed to reach MR28 while still not touching K-Drives or the many melee weapons I am missing. But where all this mastery came from though is a bit of a mystery… Okay, I lied. This sudden mastery is not a mystery at all. It just slowly built up. Unlike the run-ups… [Continue Reading]
