A Four-Legged Saryn

Lately, I’ve been bringing a new companion to missions. The good little boy/girl happily follows me around as I blow things up. And, despite all the carnage around me, it rarely dies and instantly revives itself. I’m of course talking about Vulaphylas. You know, the hideous fox-like cat-like companions from Deimos. But one particular breed of Vulpaphyla does way more work than the others. Let’s talk about our friend the Panzer Vulpaphyla. Panzer Vulpaphyla are the uncommon breed of mutated Kavat out on Deimos. But when it comes to usage, they are by far the most common. This is mostly… [Continue Reading]

5 Basically Nude Warframes Who Look Like People In Latex Suits

There are a large number of different body types in Warframe. From the lithe Octavia to the chunky Grendel, there’s something for everyone. But some Warframes are much more… nude than others. They are not much more than human-shaped suits with fancy helmets. And, with the right colors, these frames can look awfully sexy. To the point that they’re basically just people in latex suits. Shall we have a look at some of these… more scandalous frames? Of course we will! Wisp Honestly, Wisp is more “completely nude barbie doll” than “sexy person in latex suit”. Her whole body is… [Continue Reading]

How Cheap is an Oxium Osprey to Make?

The Oxium Osprey is a curious little robot. Most Corpus robotics will simply shoot at invading Tenno. However, the Oxium Osprey has a different choice of combat. While it does have a small laser turret, Oxium Ospreys stop using them as soon as they take damage to their shields. Once damaged, an Oxium Osprey will charge at you and then explode, killing itself in the process. If you kill the Oxium Osprey before it explodes, you can take its Oxium for yourself. If it self-destructs manually, the Oxium disappears. What is Oxium though? Oxium is a lighter-than-air alloy. It’s a… [Continue Reading]

In Defense of Octavia Prime’s ‘Plain’ Look

We’re reaching the point where the fancier frames are getting Primed now. Octavia is one of those fancy frames. She’s brightly coloured, dances around and has a cool gimmick. Compared to earlier frames, Octavia has a lot going for her. However, it seems that a lot of people think her Prime isn’t very fancy. In fact, I’ve seen quite a few people complain that Octavia Prime is very plain, unlike previous Primes. While Octavia Prime certainly doesn’t need some random yellow Volt to defend her, I still kinda want to talk about this. Octavia Prime is fancy enough. I mean,… [Continue Reading]

A Chat About Some Fancy Wings

Star Days is over. With its disappearance, you’ll no longer be able to buy stuff from Ticker’s special shop. While most of it is just cosmetics, we’ll also be unable to get the Snipetron blueprint for a while. But the biggest thing that’s disappearing is the Eros Wings Ephemera. You know, the wings that tons of people are currently wearing. These wings however are… a little bit controversial. For a large variety of reasons. And I think it’s worth having a closer look at these fancy wings. The wings aren’t actually bad, just out of place. I don’t want to… [Continue Reading]

On Passing The Help Along

A lot of my early hours in Warframe were spent in a daze. I was dragged from one node to the next, not understanding what I was doing. Despite having a high MR player helping me, I struggled greatly. In fact, I actually rage-quit a few times, especially after being dragged into a Sortie at a fresh MR4. Still using the MK1 Braton. I didn’t actually hit my Warframe stride until quite a bit later on. But along the way, I received a little help from complete strangers. All sorts of help. And not just help with missions! Funnily enough,… [Continue Reading]

The “It’s Not Very Space-Ninja-y” Argument That Makes No Sense

For years and years, I’ve seen the same argument pop up in Warframe. It doesn’t matter what the overall discussion is, but there’s a high chance this argument will pop up. Whether people are complaining about the art style or a new Warframe or a shiny new weapon or Ephemera, someone will use this argument. No matter what, you can’t escape. It’s always the same one. “This doesn’t fit inside our space ninja game”. The current complaints are about a pair of wings. But the same has been said about everything from the current teased Revenant Deluxe skin, all the… [Continue Reading]

Soloing Orokin Vaults

Orokin Vaults are an old, old part of Warframe. They’re the only place to get Corrupted Mods, which have both a negative and a positive. However, these vaults aren’t just old, they’re archaic as well. And it was only with the appearance of Deimos that they became far more accessible. What’s more important though is that these Orokin Vaults are easier to solo than ever. You don’t actually need to solo them though. I should probably start by pointing out that Deimos has normal matchmaking. Back when the Orokin Derelect was the home to Lephantis, you needed keys to access… [Continue Reading]

The Best Affinity Farms and XP Grinds in Warframe

Warframe is a game about grinding. Sure, there’s a small part of it that’s about skateboard grinding. But most of this game is about leveling up new gear. Not just the titular Warframes themselves, but guns and pets and swords as well. And amps, Archwings, Necramechs… The list goes on. In fact, there’s over 800 items that can be leveled up! And after a while, you kinda get tired of leveling things up. Luckily, there are some hot spots where you can level things up more quickly. The Obvious: Sedna’s Hydron and Saturn’s Helene There’s very little that can beat… [Continue Reading]

Thoughts on Necramechs in Normal Missions

Orphix Venom was two things. Firstly, it was the first Operation we’ve had in a long time, a continuation of Scarlet Spear. Secondly, it was a test bed for Necramechs in normal missions. And, in all honesty? It actually succeeded. Mostly. I mean, there’s some kinks that need working out. Bashing your head on doorways is fun. All things considered, I’m actually surprised how well Necramechs work in indoor missions. The test runs in Orphix Venom were on three tile sets: Gas City, Corpus Ship and Grineer Galleon. The surprising thing is that Necramechs actually fit quite well. Sure, the… [Continue Reading]
