5 Cernos Variations I’d Like to See

I like the Cernos. It’s a nice, simple bow. But unlike most Warframe weapons, the Cernos has a LOT of variations. Currently, there are five variants in-game. Including the normal Cernos, we also have the Rakta Cernos, Cernos Prime, Mutalist Cernos and Proboscis Cernos. But we can do better. We need more Cernos variants.

Luckily, I got you covered. Here are 5 cool potential Cernoses. Because we can always do with more Cernos.

Prisma Cernos

I’m honestly pretty amazed that we don’t have a Prisma Cernos. Prisma weapons overall tend to be a middle ground between normal variants and Prime ones. While a Prisma Cernos would be a Cernos with a new, blue-ish texture, it would make for nice easy mastery, something new for Baro Ki’Teer to offer.

Would be cool to have a small particle effect on it too. The Ki’Teer ephemera would look great with the Prisma Cernos. You can also use the Ki’Teer Prisma arrow skin as well. Heck, throw in some more Prisma items and an Excalibur and you’ll have a full set.

Syndicate Cernoses

One of the existing Cernoses we have is the Rakta Cernos, which is an offering from Red Veil. But we can do better than that. The easy solution is to make sure that the 5 other Syndicates get a Cernos of their own as well. Give the Red Veil guys a nice Rakta Daikyu then double down on the Cernos. You could even customize them a little. Or, if you have all six, you could fuse all of them together to make the MEGA CERNOS. The MEGA CERNOS could have crazy buffs, cause all 6 Syndicate effects and earn standing for all of them as well. Or it could be a normal Cernos with a rainbow skin. Who knows?

Kuva Cernos and Tenet Cernos

I mean, why not? The Syndicates are factions split off from the Corpus and Grineer, so if they have a Cernos variant, then so does everyone else. The only difference is that a Cernos won’t work on Liches, but Kuva Liches already use the Kuva Bramma no problem. As for the Sisters, I’m sure they could use bows as well. Or at the very least stick a Tenet Cernos on one of their Hounds.

Unfortunately, I don’t think we’ll ever get these ones. Liches and Sisters both use their homegrown Grineer and Corpus tech, they don’t borrow weapons from anywhere else. Still, Kuva and Corpus themed weapons are always cool.

Cernos Umbra

The ultimate (and technically penultimate) version of the Cernos would be Cernos Umbra.  We already have Cernos Prime, it came out alongside Valkyr Prime. However, since we want more variants, of course we should have an Umbral Cernos. The question is, do we make it sentient or something? After all, we have the Skiajati, which is an Umbral weapon, so there’s no reason why we can’t have other Umbral weapons as well. The Cernos, being a bow, also matches the similar stealthy ways that the Skiajati does, by being a silent weapon.

An infested Cernos that’s so infested that you can’t use it as a bow any more

However, a Cernos I’d really like to see would be an ultra-infested Cernos. After all, the Proboscis Cernos is still visually some sort of horrible bow. We can take this a step further though. With enough infested tissue and sinew, we could turn the completely infested Cernos into a melee weapon. Not just any melee weapon though. The Melee Cernos should be a gunblade. akin to the Sarpa or Redeemer. Which I think would be awesome.

The question is, would you need a Cernos to make these new Cernos variants? We don’t know. But it’d be hilarious if we did.
