The Murmur are Cool But We Even Need More of Them

The Murmur are a new enemy faction in Warframe, that came out in Whispers in the Walls. They mostly consist of two things: ghostly limbs and cracked limestone pieces. They can currently only be found on the Entrati Labs/Great Indifference tile set on the five new nodes on Deimos, located underneath the infested landscape and Orokin derelicts above. Funnily enough,  Deimos has three distinct tile sets now, rivaling Earth. The Murmur are a weird faction. They mostly attack via melee swings or laser attacks, very little else. Most of the time, you see either the grabbing arms or the weird… [Continue Reading]

Why I’m Ultimately Fine With Safer Seas’ Drawbacks

Safer Seas in Sea of Thieves comes with a lot of drawbacks. There are no emissary flags, you can’t go higher than level 40 on a faction and you can’t use captained ships or the Sovereigns. The biggest drawback is that all gold is cut back by 70%, meaning whatever you sell will only sell for 30% of its normal value. For example, an Ashen Winds skull sells for 15k on High Seas but sells for 3k on Safer Seas. All gold earned is cut down, including rewards from the season, as well as events. For the Gifts and Glory… [Continue Reading]

The Pirates of the Caribbean Tall Tales

Sea of Thieves has done two pirate crossovers in its time. The one we most recently saw was Monkey Island, where we got three Tall Tales featuring Guybrush Threepwood and other familiar characters from the series. However, the first crossover was an official, Disney-approved Pirates of the Caribbean series, featuring five Tall Tales where we save the Sea of Thieves, the Sea of the Damned and several other seas from Davy Jones and some stuff like that. While the Monkey Island Tall Tales are much more fitting with the original games, full of interesting puzzles and jokes, the Pirates of… [Continue Reading]

Pokemon GO’s Weather is So Temperamental

For the last few days, it has been pissing it down. Which is a good thing, because we need the rain around here. If we don’t get enough rain now, then we get droughts in the summer. However, while the skies have opened up and drowned the roads, if you open up Pokemon GO, the weather is… windy. Maybe cloudy. But definitely not raining. Funnily enough, here in Cyprus, rainy weather in Pokemon GO is exceptionally rare. When I visited the UK back in the beginning of December, it was pretty much the same. But the first two days that… [Continue Reading]

Wyrdeer Raid Day

Raid Days vary, and today’s one was kinda basic. Wyrdeer is the Hisuian evolution of Stantler, a (rather ugly, sorry) normal type introduced in Generation 2. In Pokemon Legends: Arceus, Stantler evolves into Wyrdeer by using a specific move with the agile style a fuckton (i.e. 20) of times. In Pokemon GO, Stantler can’t evolve, and instead you can only catch Wyrdeer in this weird raid day. It came complete with a supposed 1/10 shiny chance, but no special moves or anything like that. As always, we got our 5 free raid passes, plus one if you had one from… [Continue Reading]

A Christmas Article 2023

Today is Christmas Day, a day of celebration and gifts and stuff. It’s a hideously over-commercialized holiday and companies want you to spend tons of money so that their shareholders make even more millions. But at the same time, it’s also supposed to be a time to be with family. Hopefully, you don’t hate your family and spend it together, but the ‘tradition’ (more like a trope) is that Christmas is a massive mess and everyone hates each other and no one gets along, but somehow, at the end of the day, some people are happy. Personally, this Christmas for… [Continue Reading]

Operation Starfall – The Weird Anti-Bullying Movement

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have three different paths. There’s your standard Victory Road, there’s the Path of Titans which I started on, and then there’s Operation Starfall, or Starfall Street, which the game sometimes refers to it as. This path involves battling your way through five bases, confronting the bosses and, well, just fighting them. The bases all follow various themes and are filled with kids bunking off school. Along the way, you are joined by Clive, who is CLEARLY Directer Clavell, the director of the academy, and wants to know why these kids are all not doing lessons. You’re… [Continue Reading]

Conquering Arven

When I last left Pokemon Violet, I did so with my tail between my legs. After a long battle, I’d been brutally beaten by Arven, the guy I had fought beside along the Path of Legends. His level 60 team kicked the ass of my team, and I was kinda put off. This time though, I came prepared. I didn’t have a full level 60 team, but fuck it, with three Pokemon at level 60 or higher, plus better counters, I had faith this time. I started off with Riff the Lycanroc, my idea to beat Arven at his own… [Continue Reading]

On Things Just Generally Being Frustrating

Some people ask me why I seem so pissed off all the time. While I try my best to remain calm and patient, I am quick to temper and I complain a lot. Well, the reason behind all my annoyance is very simple. There are a LOT of little tiny things that annoy me. And let me be honest here. I’ve been to therapy. Mostly for depression, but partly for my ill temper and awkward way of breaking down at everything. Because I do break down in tears a lot. I normally do so because something has gone horrifically wrong.… [Continue Reading]

Thoughts on Safer Seas Now They’re Out

The other day, I was busy sailing on my own when I received an invite from my sister’s waifu (let’s call him Garbo, based on his username), inviting me to join him on a galleon on Safer Seas. So I finished the Ghost Fort I was doing (I’d only been playing for about 20 minutes), sold up all my loot and spent an eternity sitting in a loading screen, accepted his invite then sat in another long loading screen to join him. Also joining us were my sister and their friend, a very new player who had only played the… [Continue Reading]
