Jump-Start Special Research – The Best Special Research Ever

For Pokemon Go’s anniversary, a new special research quest was released and frankly, I think it’s the best special research they’ve ever released. Like, seriously, this 6 stage quest is awesome. First off, this quest is really fucking easy. The only hard bit is the fact that you have to make two new friends, one on stage 1 and one on stage 6, but there’s loads of ways to make friends even if you’re the only person around who plays Pokemon Go, and at some point you have to battle another trainer in the Great League in PvP – something… [Continue Reading]

Playing with (Mostly Silent) Randoms

When I started playing Warframe, I would do so under two circumstances. I would either play completely solo or I would be dragged through missions by an old friend of mine. Mostly unwillingly. I can’t complain at being dragged through though, because all these years later, Warframe is my most-played game on Steam, beating out the hours upon hours I’ve spent troubleshooting Skyrim. Thing is, it took a very long time for me to start playing missions with randoms,in public matches. It can be daunting and scary, especially when you’re matched up with people who are way fancier, way faster… [Continue Reading]

Medic’s Dragon Mod Recommendations for Skyrim

I love dragons. I want to be a dragon. But the closest I’ll ever get to that is my strange mod setup for Skyrim, involving the Play As A Dragon Mod and Open Cities Skyrim. Still, those two mods on their own aren’t that great. Even if you don’t want to be a dragon, the vanilla dragons in Skyrim can be a bit boring, so you might need some other dragon mods as well. Here are a bunch of recommendations of dragon mods that I think you should at least try. These are all for Legendary Edition (which is what… [Continue Reading]

TM352 Web, Mobile and Cloud Technologies – A Review

It seems weird to review an Open University course but I feel like I should, considering that it’s the last Open University course I did and I had very, very mixed opinions about it. While I enjoyed TM352 more than those infernal design courses (looking at you, TM356), I found this course to be… weird. There were problems in TM352 that I didn’t have at all in other courses. At first glance, the content of TM352 is pretty technical and enjoyable. The first block was definitely enjoyable. It did somewhat throw you into the deep end a little bit if… [Continue Reading]

What To Buy From Baro Ki’Teer on July 6th

July 6th is the date for Tennocon, the annual real life Warframe event hosted in London, Canada. Despite it being a real life event with tickets that sell out insanely quickly, where you get to meet the people at Digital Extremes as well as other Warframe fans, there’s actually a lot to do for people who can’t come in person. For example, every year there is a special Tennocon Dev Stream, and this year pretty much all the cool stuff will be streamed live on Twitch and Mixxer. There’s also the Digital Tennocon pass which lets you get some neat… [Continue Reading]

When Friends Are An Inconvenience

I should be talking about the Pokemon Go anniversary event where you can get SHINY ALOLAN EXEGGCUTOR (one of my favourite Pokemon) but frankly, I’m kinda annoyed. Not just because there’s no shiny Exeggcute, but because of the friend system. The first task of the new ‘Catch Up’ special research is to make a new friend and all it does is bring up the flaws in the friendship system. The friend system in Pokemon Go makes no sense. The first issue is that you can never really interact with these people, outside of PvP battles, battling Pokemon in Gyms and… [Continue Reading]

“YOUR BAG IS FULL”

If there’s one thing that has haunted me more in Pokemon Go (except for all the shinies I never find), is the message “Your bag is full”. This message has haunted me ever since I started playing Pokemon Go on a regular basis. Basically, I never have any backpack space. Ever. In fact, I run into the “Your bag is full” message in an almost daily basis. In comparison, I can avoid the error for having no more space for Pokemon pretty easily, because there’s always one or two Pokemon I can delete if I have to. It’s why I… [Continue Reading]

Mastery Rank 27

I said I wouldn’t push myself to get to Mastery Rank 27. I said I wouldn’t. I told myself I was quite happy getting to Mastery Rank 26 and that I’ll climb to the next rank when we can unlock Mastery Ranks 28-30. But no, I didn’t listen to me. I went and pushed for MR27, the rank of Gold Sage. And fucking hell, I am both pleased and pissed off at myself. I’m pissed off with myself because I did too much grinding over the last few days. After getting TWO 31-hour Affinity Boosters in a row, I realised… [Continue Reading]

Nightwave Intermission – More of This, Please

The other day, I managed to hit level 15 on the Nightwave Intermission. I had managed to do every single task so far apart from the Complete 3 Sorties task (because you can only do one Sortie a day) and had them all finished the 25th. Now that I’ve finished with the Intermission, I can idly do any extra missions to earn additional Nora Creds which I can spend on more Nitain. I got my Eidolon Ephemera and now I can chill and wait for the next Nightwave. Except that I kinda hope the next Nightwave is just like this… [Continue Reading]

Commander Lilith and the Fight For Sanctuary – The Free Explanatory DLC for Borderlands 2

So I finally got around to playing the new DLC for Borderlands 2, Commander Lilith and the Fight for Sanctuary. It was given away for free at the same time the Handsome Collection was massively reduced in price, to coincide with the proper announcement and trailer for Borderlands 3. The DLC fills the gap between Borderlands 2 and Borderlands 3, thrusting the plot forward. It had taken a while to play because brother, the ultra Borderlands fan and nerd, wanted to play with a full squad. Which is fair but probably made it all easier. The story happens a little… [Continue Reading]
