The Problem With Dragon Events in Pokemon GO

So coming up this week is a Lunar New Year event in Pokemon GO. This year, 2024, is the year of the dragon. And, like every year, Pokemon GO has set up an event where the zodiac animal of choice is the one that’s spawning. Except, well, this year, we’re getting a lot of, well, not dragons. Actually, that being said, there are at least three dragons spawning in this event. Dratini ALWAYS seems to spawn in dragon events, but we’re also getting Noibat and Jangmo-o. The other Pokemon though, which will almost certainly be more common, are Magikarp, Shuckle,… [Continue Reading]

A Long List of Little Things I Want In: Elder Scrolls 6

It’s been ages since I last played Skyrim. But the fact that Skyrim is being revamped into a new addition yet again is weird. How many different versions of Skyrim do we need? Clearly more of them. In the mean time though, when it comes to the next Elder Scrolls game, we’re still pretty clueless. We know the game will be set in Hammerfell, but that’s pretty much it. In the mean time though, there are lots of things I would like to see in the Elder Scrolls VI. Here is a small sample of them. Better Followers. Followers in… [Continue Reading]

My Favourite Skyrim Dragon Textures

This article was originally going to be one of those articles. You know, the articles we have about nude mods. In fact, we have quite a few articles about Skyrim’s nude mods, but none actually recommending actual nude mods. There is plenty of choice when it comes to Skyrim nudity, but I’m not actually that well versed in it. I just got the most common female body mod, installed one of its many versions and called it a day. And I couldn’t even remember what it was called. I had to open up Mod Organizer to check it out. Once… [Continue Reading]

Why Is It So Hard To Make A Dragon Game And Why Doesn’t Spyro Scratch That Itch?

My dream game has always been simple: a 3d open world sandbox-ish game where you fly about as a dragon, fighting enemies and collecting loot to decorate your cave. Basically something like Saints Row but with dragons instead of gangs. Sure, I could eventually build something like this myself, but frankly building that sort of thing is an enormous task and I’m not very good at things like 3d animating, coding, using game engines and game design itself to be able to do that. If I were to make such a game, it’d probably end up being stupidly easy as… [Continue Reading]

Medic’s Dragon Mod Recommendations for Skyrim

I love dragons. I want to be a dragon. But the closest I’ll ever get to that is my strange mod setup for Skyrim, involving the Play As A Dragon Mod and Open Cities Skyrim. Still, those two mods on their own aren’t that great. Even if you don’t want to be a dragon, the vanilla dragons in Skyrim can be a bit boring, so you might need some other dragon mods as well. Here are a bunch of recommendations of dragon mods that I think you should at least try. These are all for Legendary Edition (which is what… [Continue Reading]

Shouting My Way Through Skyrim

You know those pretty cool Dragon Shouts in Skyrim? The ones that are found on mysterious walls scattered around the province and require you to kill dragons? What if they 1. had way shorter cooldowns and 2. were your only weapons? Now, I really like Dragon Shouts and using the Thu’um. The whole idea of shouting magic at people really appeals to me. And really, it makes sense, because if magic is only tied to your hands, then having your hands tied will pretty much stop you completely. Being able to use your hands and mouth for magic seems like… [Continue Reading]

On Dragon Cave and Other View-Based Collection Games

In 2009, I was at peak Dragon Addiction and was looking for anything to sate my desire to be a dragon. Sometime during that year, I found the website Dragon Cave, a site dedicated to breeding and collection dragons. The idea is simple: you pick up an egg, either a fresh new one from the Cave or from a pile of eggs abandoned by other players, and you feed it with clicks and views. After 4-7 days, if the egg gets enough views, it hatches and you need to feed your new hatchling more clicks and views. After 4-7 more… [Continue Reading]

On Paarthurnax

Paarthurnax, for those who don’t know, is a very nice, grey, scarred dragon who sits at the Throat of the World in Skyrim. He’s crucial to the main story line, and sets you on the path to learn the shout Dragonrend, which was created by men and used to help defeat Alduin, the big bad guy, back in the dragon wars. And since Alduin has returned, it’s probably a good idea to have the Dragonborn be able to get the bastard to land on the ground so he can actually defeat him. This nice old dragon actually doesn’t seem to… [Continue Reading]
