Damn Axi Relics

New Gara Skin (with default helmet because I like it)

Over the years, I have accumulated a lot of relics in Warframe. After all, I have like 4000 hours in this game, and a lot of it was spent opening relics. However, looking at my slowly shrinking relic collection, there’s an obvious theme going on. I have way, way too many Lith relics, a lot of Meso and Neo relics and… very few Axi relics. Limited farming spots Weirdly, Axi relics are actually kinda hard to farm. The best place to get Axi relics is via Disruption missions, particularly on Lua. Aside from that though, options are limited. Bounties for… [Continue Reading]

Warframe Cosmetics that don’t require Platinum

The Rhino Dex skin, with Dex Dakra and Dex Nouchali Syandana

Looking cool can be quite costly in Warframe. The majority of cosmetics tend to require Platinum to purchase. And some cosmetics, namely Tennogen and Prime stuff, can only be bought with real money. However, just because you are on  budget, doesn’t mean you can’t look handsome too. Here are some options for the frugal Tenno. Baro Ki’Teer’s shop Baro comes every two weeks with new gear from the void, most of which is cosmetic. However, the quality of his gear is all over the place. Sometimes he’ll bring back a cosmetic from the past (like the Harkonar Wraith armour) but… [Continue Reading]

Pokemon I Like But Never Get To Use

Ralts, Kirlia, Gardevoir

When it comes to Pokemon GO, the meta doesn’t change much. In PvP, there are random cups that offer a change, but your standard PvP match will always have familiar faces, especially as you play the higher leagues. In PvE content, the meta most of the time is use six of one Pokemon and never use the default recommended stuff the game suggests. Anyway, here are some Pokemon I like, but rarely get to use in battle. Entei and Suicune The legendary beasts Entei and Suicune are really cool Pokemon. Doesn’t help that their choice of attacks just aren’t very… [Continue Reading]

On Bosses and Invulnerability Phases in Warframe

Nihil's boss fight, on the final phase. Here Nihil is slouched over and slightly scared.

Boss battles are interesting. Just like everything else in gaming, a boss battle is supposed to be impactful, but bosses ramp it up to 11. Of course they do. You’ve been running around killing mooks and now suddenly here’s a challenge, demanding that you kill the big bad. However, it’s rarely as simple as “shoot them until they die”, there is always some sort of puzzle required, or a chance for you to not deal damage at all. Bosses go invulnerable and you either force them to come back or wait for them to stop. In Warframe in particular, most… [Continue Reading]

Blimey, These Pokemon GO Events are Nonstop!

A bunch of evolved starter Pokemon

Seriously, events in Pokemon GO are pretty much nonstop! There’s so many of them that they blur into each other! While there’s always a bunch of events early in the year, we seem to be getting even more of them. In the last 2 weeks alone, we have had Valentines Day and Lunar New Year events, alongside some more lore-based events, tied to the Season of Heritage. But now these events are really stacking up. As of writing, multiple events! Right now, there are three events going on, somewhat. The first is the season itself, which has unique spawns and… [Continue Reading]

What has Stalker been up to lately?

Loki being stalked by the Stalker

Fun fact: The Second Dream is Warframe’s first cinematic quest, and was released late in 2015. In said quest, we saw Stalker getting an upgrade and also getting a job. Stalker served the Sentient mastermind Hunhow, in the hopes that he would be able to kill the Tenno for their crimes against the Orokin. Before then, Stalker was mainly a scary character who would attack anyone with his death mark, kitted out with weapons and abilities on par with our Warframes. After the Second Dream though, Stalker kinda disappeared. Well, he definitely wasn’t gone. In fact, Stalker kept all the… [Continue Reading]

These Seasonal Catch Challenges are Lame

Catch 50m Pokemon for 3 Golden Razberries

One of the biggest parts of Pokemon GO is research and research challenges. These challenges challenge you to catch certain amounts of Pokemon. Some challenges are strict, requiring you to catch very specific Pokemon. Others are more open-ended and want you to catch various types of Pokemon. But the most common challenge of all is just a generic “Catch X Pokemon”. Something that, as of writing, exists two-fold in the Today tab. Because, for some reason, the Season of Heritage has two collect-a-thons currently, There’s nothing wrong with some catch challenges. Now, I normally don’t have a problem with collecting… [Continue Reading]

Wolfenstein 3D: Does it Hold Up?

At the start of the pandemic, I finally learned why Doom is such a historically well-regarded game. After that, I moved forward and played Quake to see where the developers went from there. Now, my friend Ryo gifted me Wolfenstein 3D for Christmas, letting me experience where it truly all began. 90s Gaming At Its Height Wolfenstein 3D is one of the earliest first-person shooters, widely considered the game that popularized the genre. Everything about the experience is visceral and unashamed; your enemies are blatant Nazis who explode into puddles of gore when they die. Swastikas and portraits of Hitler litter the… [Continue Reading]

Squeezing More Affinity, XP and Focus Out Of Our Warframes

Excalibur Umbra with Saturn Six Armour

To say that there’s a lot of grinding to do in Warframe is pretty accurate. After all, if your goal is to increase your Mastery Rank, you need to level up items. If you are heading towards True Master or the Legendary ranks, you need to obtain and level up pretty much every single weapon, warframe and more in the game. Thankfully, there are ways to speed up the grind a little. As I’ve mentioned before, these locations are great for leveling things up, but can get boring after a while. That being said, it’s also worth looking into optimizing… [Continue Reading]

A Ramble About Pockets

A zip

One of my most favourite pieces of clothing that I own is a long-sleeved black top with white stars on it. I have no idea where this top came from, but I’ve owned it for several years now. The nicest thing about this top though? It has pockets. A pocket on each side, not always noticeable. Sure, those pockets aren’t the deepest, nor do they have a way of being sealed. But when it comes to putting something temporarily in said pockets, it’s so nice that my starry top can help. Unfortunately though, the rest of my wardrobe mostly lacks… [Continue Reading]
