The Three Best Companions

There are quite a lot of companions in Warframe. As you start out, you are gifted with the Taxon, a small sentinel that helps you out and keeps your shields happy. As you play more though, you realize that there are not just floating robots. One quest gives you a Kubrow, a dog companion, and over time, you can also get cats, robotic dogs, mechanical emus, three types of infested Kubrow and Kavat, an Infested Charger, and other floating robots too. However, since there are so many, it’s easy to get confused. So here are the three best companions in… [Continue Reading]

An Article in Which Medic Reworks Companions in Warframe

In Warframe, you’re not alone. Every Tenno deserves a companion by their side, to follow them across the solar system. However, many of our companions are left to gather dust. Only a handful are actually helpful, and the majority of helpful companions are Kavats. Which is a shame since we have so many companions to play around with. I think a companion and pet rework would be a good idea, especially since everyone just uses the same handful of companions. After all, why would you want a robotic hound that splits into three and tries to attack enemies, when you… [Continue Reading]

A Four-Legged Saryn

Lately, I’ve been bringing a new companion to missions. The good little boy/girl happily follows me around as I blow things up. And, despite all the carnage around me, it rarely dies and instantly revives itself. I’m of course talking about Vulaphylas. You know, the hideous fox-like cat-like companions from Deimos. But one particular breed of Vulpaphyla does way more work than the others. Let’s talk about our friend the Panzer Vulpaphyla. Panzer Vulpaphyla are the uncommon breed of mutated Kavat out on Deimos. But when it comes to usage, they are by far the most common. This is mostly… [Continue Reading]

Infested Doggos and Infested Kitties of the Cambion Drift

The Heart of Deimos has brought us new companions! The last companion we got was the third type of Kavat, the vampire-like Vasca. The Vasca appeared in the Plains of Eidolon revamp update. Since then, companions have been pretty quiet. But now we have six new ones! SIX! Three Kavats and three Kubrows. Oh, sorry, they’re called Vulpaphyla and Predasites. Anyway, let’s have a look at them! Three cats that look like foxes, three dogs that look like sphinxes. For some reason, the appearances of these pets are reversed. We have infested fox-like creatures with long snouts that are actually… [Continue Reading]

My Favourite Warframe Companions

Really, when you think about it, there aren’t that many options when it comes to companions in Warframe. You have robotic things that float behind you, you have cats and dogs, you have weird-looking infected dogs and you have mechanical chickens with guns. Of course, all these creatures do different things and provide different gameplay options, but they’re not the most… lovable things in the world. At least, the Sentinels aren’t. But considering the reactions I have gotten from showing people my freshly incubated companions, I don’t think everyone agrees that Kubrows and Kavats are as cute as I think… [Continue Reading]

Companions and Sentinels – Revenge of the Kavat

I’ve always held the belief that Sentinels, no matter what, were better than Kavats and Kubrows, and honestly I still think they’re better than MOAs, even though MOAs combine most of the things that Sentinels and Kavats and Kubrows do. But lately, I’ve been running around with a Smeeta Kavat and I think my opinions are changing slightly. Why am I running a Smeeta Kavat rather than my normal Carrier Prime? Well, it all started with the Week 2 Nightwave challenges. Two of the elite challenges involved hour long survivals, so we went off to do an hour long Kuva… [Continue Reading]

In Defense of Khora and Her Powers of Defense

It seems that some people think that Khora is a bad Warframe, that she desperately needs a rework. To that, all I can say is that those people are wrong. It’s very easy to see why, because, like Revenant, Khora on release was a very mediocre frame with middling stats. There were a multitude of problems mostly focused on Venari, who was a timed ability rather than a passive. But these days, Khora is a very rounded, generalist Warframe who can do a bit of everything. I know I’ve written about Khora before, but having 1. just bought Khora for… [Continue Reading]
