These New Isolation Vault Bounties Are Miserable

I thought I’d be happy to see more Deimos content, but it turns out I’m wrong. Yes, we got new bounties. However, these bounties are insanely tedious, not just to do, but to access as well! Like, who thought this was a good idea? Ugh, this is going to be a slog. Just like doing the actual bounties. To access a new bounty, you need to do its Isolation Vault. These new bounties are located in the underground Isolation Vaults. But to get to them, you need to do the related Isolation Vault bounty. So you’ve got to rush around… [Continue Reading]

I Can’t Work Out What Necramechs Are Supposed To Be Used For

Necramechs are really, really cool. They’re basically massive armed robot guards. Golden-plated monstrosities that mow down enemies with big dakka guns. These giant Orokin robots are the complete opposite to smooth, sleek Warframes. Despite their strange appearance, you can’t deny that a Necramech is a terrifying sight. But what are Necramechs actually useful for? Lore-wise, they’re basically no longer used. While Father will go on about how great Necramechs are, it’s clear that Warframes replaced them. After all, you can’t exactly fit a Necramech through a normal doorway. It also seems like they were awkward to make. The only reason… [Continue Reading]

Deimos Arcana, AKA I don’t have enough Pyrol

I don’t get the rarity some items have in Warframe sometimes. It’s just all over the place. Some items, despite being kinda meh, are locked away behind massive grinds. Others are, well, right there to grab. This has come up again in the Deimos Arcana update. Some of the new items are stupidly rare, some of them aren’t. It’s a very weird mess. The new Necramech is just… there. The biggest example of this whole strange rarity thing is the new Necramech. The Bonewidow and her new gun are just blueprints that Loid sells. You just go up to him… [Continue Reading]

Even with Deimos, the Infested are Still Boring

The Heart of Deimos is the first Infested open world area. You venture through an icky, gooey, biting landscape. A place where everything wants to eat you. The Cambion Drift is an awful place. But, deep down, it’s not a completely infested hellhole. There’s Orokin architecture buried underneath. This place isn’t all Infested, it’s an amalgam of both Infested and Orokin. And the more interesting stuff is definitely the Orokin. The fact is, the Infested aren’t that… interesting. That probably seems a little mean at first. The Infested can’t help the fact that they’re the generic alien-like enemy. I suppose… [Continue Reading]

A Biased Guide on What to Subsume and Use with Helminth

I’m pretty biased when it comes to the Helminth system. When it comes to the surface idea, I think the Helminth system is great. But when you look more deeply at it, you can tell that it’s all a mess. The costs are arbitrary and all over the place, the abilities chosen are weird, some have been arbitrarily nerfed. And, of course, there was the Marked for Death ability that made Ash good for about five seconds. That being said, I’ve been playing around a little with the Helminth system, and I’ve come up with a very simple, very biased… [Continue Reading]

Albrecht Entrati

Hidden behind a door that can only be passed through by Tenno is a strange device. Maintained by Loid, this clock has… something to do with the Void. While it looks like a massive Ayatan sculpture, apparently it is some sort of clock. A massive mystery lies before us, involving both the Void and the mysterious Necramechs. But, more importantly, we have… memories lying around. Circling the edge of this great clock are runes. Some may remember them as the Requiem Mods we use to kill Liches. These are messages from Albrecht Entrati, the father of Mother and the head… [Continue Reading]

What Am I? An Orokin Family Therapist?

Alright, heads up. This is going to be a VERY spoiler-heavy article. I’m going to be discussing the Entrati family. Or rather, what’s left of it. Just like the rest of Deimos, the Entrati family is pretty messed up. But UNLIKE the entirety of the small Martian moon, the Entrati are messed up in their own, unique ways. And it’s not just because of the Infested. Before we begin, there are spoilers ahead! I’m warning you now, because this article contains commentary about the dialogues as you rank up with the Entrati. Just like how Fortuna has its revealing thing… [Continue Reading]

The Helminth System – Too Expensive to Experiment

So I finally got my Helminth component from Son, and I finally got the bastard installed. At first, I was actually pretty excited. There were all sorts of cool combinations to be had. But now that I have the Helminth ready to go in my ship, I realise it’s all just… a chore. And yet more grind. But not the fun sort of grind. The Entrati grind and the segment costs are fine. Getting to rank 3 is pretty easy with the Entrati, as is obtaining the segment. Sure, you need to do a ton of conservation, but it’s definitely… [Continue Reading]

Fishing on the Cambion Drift is Rather Annoying

I am normally a big fan of fishing. Not just in Warframe, but in other games as well. Minecraft fishing has always been particularly strong. Heck, I spent way, way too long fishing for a Pokemon in Pixelmon. But there’s something… lacking when it comes to fishing in the Cambion Drift. I’m just not enjoying infested fishing as much as I should. Here’s why.

Infested Doggos and Infested Kitties of the Cambion Drift

The Heart of Deimos has brought us new companions! The last companion we got was the third type of Kavat, the vampire-like Vasca. The Vasca appeared in the Plains of Eidolon revamp update. Since then, companions have been pretty quiet. But now we have six new ones! SIX! Three Kavats and three Kubrows. Oh, sorry, they’re called Vulpaphyla and Predasites. Anyway, let’s have a look at them! Three cats that look like foxes, three dogs that look like sphinxes. For some reason, the appearances of these pets are reversed. We have infested fox-like creatures with long snouts that are actually… [Continue Reading]
