Animal Instinct – A Valuable Mod

There are many, many mods in Warframe. Mods for Warframes, mods for weapons, mods for your companions. Including cats and dogs. I don’t know where we store the mods we equip on our living companions, but they can use them nonetheless. However, many mods are also kinda useless. They’re either niche or just impractical. And because there is limited space, some mods have to be left out. Today, I want to talk about the one mod I 100% can’t leave out from my companions’ mods. A required mods for pets Animal Instinct is a Nightmare mod, obtainable from high level… [Continue Reading]

John Prodman’s Autograph

Despite me being Mastery Rank 30, there’s still a lot of… tidbits I haven’t done yet. Small challenges and hunts that I never got around to. While I did eventually get max rank with the Ventkids, I never bothered with Conclave. And don’t get me started on finding all the Kurias. But one of the slightly more challenging things on this list is quite simple really. That challenge was an hour in the Index. I had to spend an hour in the Index, so I could finally face the myth that was John Prodman. John Prodman is the Clem of… [Continue Reading]

Khora – The Queen of All Trades

Ever since Khora came out, I’ve been saying that Khora is a strong frame. Alright, for the first few days, she was really lackluster. But after an initial round of buffs, Khora turned into a really good frame. So good in fact that she’s now considered one of the nest nuke frames around, closer to Mesa and Saryn than anyone else. But Khora has something that those two don’t – the ability to be a jack of all trades. Really, Khora has it all. She’s probably one of the strongest frames in Warframe right now. Especially with a nuke build.… [Continue Reading]

Khora’s Weird New Deluxe Skin

What is it with me and my favourite frames getting… weird skins? My favourite frame, Volt, never got a deluxe skin, and instead got a weird “Proto-but-not-proto” skin. And now, my second favourite frame, Khora, has got a weird skin of her own. The Khora Urushu skin is… kinda weird. It’s definitely a Khora skin, the problem here isn’t like Ember and her weird, bird-like deluxe skin. But something feels off about it. It’s cool but… not cool? I mean, at first glance, the Urushu skin looks amazing. Khora gains this cool, geisha-like look, complete with thorny flowers and an… [Continue Reading]

Regarding the Loot Nerf

While most people have been happy with the Jovian Concord, Wisp and the Gas City rework, there was something deep within the patch notes that caused a small ruckus, one that hasn’t been discussed at all by the developers and discussed a lot by the community. Two lines in particular:   Fixed Chesa Retrieve double dipping with Nekros’ Desecrate. Fixed Chesa/Desecrate double dipping with Hydroid/Khora. To clarify what this means, it means that Nekros’s Desecrate and Chesa’s Retrieve no longer work alongside Hydroid and Khora’s Pilfering augments. All of these abilities have a chance to drop extra loot. Hydroid and… [Continue Reading]

Running Around with 40% Power Strength

Running around with low amounts of power strength is often sub-optimal for most Warframes. You need that power strength to, you know, make your abilities do stuff. The only real, well-known use of having less than 100% power strength is for the Speed Nova build, and even that is a somewhat niche use of her abilities, only really useful in Defense missions where people are experience farming. Having enemies race towards you means you can kill them quicker. But lately, I’ve been using only 40% power strength on a different Warframe, without that power strength being detrimental to what I… [Continue Reading]

In Defense of Khora and Her Powers of Defense

It seems that some people think that Khora is a bad Warframe, that she desperately needs a rework. To that, all I can say is that those people are wrong. It’s very easy to see why, because, like Revenant, Khora on release was a very mediocre frame with middling stats. There were a multitude of problems mostly focused on Venari, who was a timed ability rather than a passive. But these days, Khora is a very rounded, generalist Warframe who can do a bit of everything. I know I’ve written about Khora before, but having 1. just bought Khora for… [Continue Reading]

Why Khora, Ivara and Volt?

I’ll be honest, I really, really liked Medicinal Warlock’s series of articles on why he plays various TF2 classes. I actually considered doing something similar, but frankly 1. I didn’t want to copy him directly, 2. his reasons for playing each class are actually pretty similar to mine already (especially Pyro…) and 3. I’ve actually already written various articles on why I play various classes. In fact, we’ve had other people write articles on TF2 classes as well. I’ll just do an article about Warframe choices then. Because why not. So yeah, I really like three frames in particular. Long… [Continue Reading]

My Growing Obsession with Khora

It’s weird how a new favourite suddenly emerges out of nowhere, leaping up behind you and giving you the shock of your life as you realise you’ve been using this new favourite more and more. Okay, I’m still utterly obsessed with Volt, but Khora? Bloody hell, I never thought I’d be using her so much. Khora just kinda popped out of nowhere. I leveled Khora up and stuck her in the arsenal while I resumed with playing Volt and trying to get Kronen and Tiberon Prime, but when I failed that (to the point that I STILL don’t have Kronen… [Continue Reading]

The Confused Crazy Cat Lady Frame

Khora was the first Warframe released in 2018, when she was originally teased for release back in 2017, scheduled to be released alongside a Damage 2.5/3.0 update that altered how Impact, Puncture and Slash damage worked. The damage update was completely scrapped, leaving Khora very confused as what she was supposed to do and what her theme was. So we ended up with this strange, confused Khora that came with the Beasts of the Sanctuary update. Khora is the second Warframe to have her blueprint locked away in a “C Rotation reward” alongside another Warframe component, alongside Ivara, and is… [Continue Reading]
