The Johto Tour – A Mild Opinion

Back on Saturday, we got our second ever Pokemon Tour event, this time visiting the Johto region. During this tour, we saw Pokemon from different areas of Johto spawning in particular biomes, with the spawns changing every hour. Alongside the event, we had tons of raids and shinies to grab, and a massive collect-a-thon, in which we could catch the entirety of the Johto Pokedex. However, was the Johto tour as good as the Kanto tour in 2021? Well, I guess… The Johto Tour was mostly just like the Kanto Tour. The biomes were the same, as were the Pokemon.… [Continue Reading]

Attack Form Deoxys and a Desire for more Solo Raids

As of writing, we’ve got Deoxys in raids in Pokemon GO. But it’s not just any Deoxys, we got Attack Form Deoxys. What’s so special about that? Well, Attack Form Deoxys is one of the very, very few level 5 raids you can fight solo and actually win. The last time Deoxys’s forms were around, I didn’t have as good a team as I wanted, but also lacked the confidence. This time though, I had no such problems. Defeating a Level 5 Raid is generally hard For most Legendary raids, you will need at minimum one or two extra players.… [Continue Reading]

Pokemon I Like But Never Get To Use

When it comes to Pokemon GO, the meta doesn’t change much. In PvP, there are random cups that offer a change, but your standard PvP match will always have familiar faces, especially as you play the higher leagues. In PvE content, the meta most of the time is use six of one Pokemon and never use the default recommended stuff the game suggests. Anyway, here are some Pokemon I like, but rarely get to use in battle. Entei and Suicune The legendary beasts Entei and Suicune are really cool Pokemon. Doesn’t help that their choice of attacks just aren’t very… [Continue Reading]

Lures VS Incense in Pokemon GO

Not everyone lives in a massive city with hundreds or even thousands of Pokestops. Some places, like where I live, have small pockets of high density Pokestops, but trail off quite quickly. Other places have pretty much nothing when it comes to Pokestops, and rely solely on one tiny spawn point, or the daily spawn of one Pokemon. Luckily though, there is a way or two that you can force Pokemon to spawn. If you have a Pokestop nearby, you can deploy a Lure module on it, and Pokemon will spawn at the Pokestop one at a time, as long… [Continue Reading]

Please Don’t Put Balls in Bundles and Boxes

After wasting a bunch of hard-earns coins in Pokemon GO, I haven’t really been looking that the boxes in the Pokemon GO shop. Normally, I’d have very little coins because I’d spend them all on raid passes. But raids have been unappealing lately, so I finally got myself 480 coins, ready to buy something nice. The Pokemon GO shop has got various useful things within it, and mostly works as a “pay to go faster” shop than anything else. For example, if you have eggs you want to hatch, then get super incubators and hatch eggs quickly. Or just do… [Continue Reading]

Tips to Get to Best Buddies slightly quicker in Pokemon GO

In Pokemon GO, getting a Pokemon to the level of Best Buddies is kinda hard. Actually, no. I take that back. It’s tedious trying to level up a buddy. Luckily here are some little tips to maybe speed things up. Keep the Nanabs For once, nanab berries have a use, aside from making excellent throws in a row. Most of the time, you don’t need nanabs to catch Pokemon, so it’s worth feeding them to your buddy instead. Eventually, your buddy will start giving you gifts of berries, but at the start, you have to use what you’ve got. Luckily,… [Continue Reading]

My 5 Least Favourite Shiny Pokemon (that I actually use)

I’m a simple person. If I see something shiny, then I feel I must have it. My brain works like that of a magpie or crow, always gathering shiny items. However, since most magpies and crows can’t use game consoles, they can’t really understand what a shiny Pokemon is. And as we slowly climb towards nearly a thousand different Pokemon, it’s a tad tedious to rate all of them. Instead, in today’s article, I’ll be sticking to only Pokemon that I use. Because, even if we round it down to just Pokemon GO, we’d be here all day. Garchomp First… [Continue Reading]

5 Legendaries You Don’t Need to Power Up in Pokemon GO

Legendary Pokemon in Pokemon GO are very expensive to power up. They require a lot of candy, and that candy is hard to come by. Not only that, but they rotate in and out of raids. If you don’t keep up, you end up missing vital Pokemon. However, thankfully, not every legendary Pokemon is worth the time and effort to power up. They may have some very niche uses in PvP stuff, but you shouldn’t see these Pokemon in raids and the like. Here are some Legendary Pokemon that you don’t need to power up. Virizion and Cobalion The Swords… [Continue Reading]

Somewhat Warming Up To Costumed Pokemon

Costume Pokemon are here to stay. Despite communities grumbling that hatted Pokemon are a waste of space, it seems like costumed Pokemon will always be on the rise. As we’ve continued throughout the year, we have had more and more costume Pokemon, to the point that nearly every other event has SOMETHING with a costume. But despite costume Pokemon wasting space, I do have a bit of a fondness for them. Most if these Pokemon are kinda cute The Pokemon chosen for most events are adorable. The most recent new hatted Pokemon is actually Hoothoot, the round owl Pokemon who… [Continue Reading]

My Favourite Shiny Pokemon

Shiny Pokemon are cool. In the main games, a shiny is a stupidly rare thing to find, but you do have some control over it, by breeding and completing the Pokedex. In Pokemon GO however, there’s nothing you can do to increase or decrease shiny encounters. Whether you catch a shiny or not, it is 100% RNG and good luck. That being said, I’ve caught quite a few shiny Pokemon over the years. There are still a lot of shinies that I don’t have or haven’t been released yet. So, for today’s article, I’ll be sticking to shiny Pokemon I… [Continue Reading]
