Destiny 2 Open Beta – A Lot of Hassle For Something Somewhat Generic

So I spent twelve hours slowly downloading Destiny 2. It’s brilliant, everyone told me. It’s like a cross between Warframe and Borderlands, multiple people said to me. You HAVE to try the Open Beta! But as I downloaded the game, a lot of worries went through my head. Wasn’t Destiny 1 supposed to be a long-running game? Didn’t it need a bunch of DLCs to be playable? What if Destiny 2 is exactly the same? I haven’t actually played Destiny 1, but that’s what reviews told me. Finally, I got the game installed. Except it wouldn’t work. I spent 30… [Continue Reading]

A Spider-Man: Homecoming Review of Some Sort

Despite the fact that I watched this movie on Friday the 21st of July, it’s taken me a few days to actually write this article. And that’s made even worse by the fact that Spider-Man: Homecoming was released on the 7th of July, making me super late to the party (although movies always come late here because they need Greek translations). I’ve needed time to, I don’t know, digest it maybe? But that implies that Spider-Man: Homecoming was a hard movie to watch, when it really wasn’t. This is what, the third attempt at a Spider-Man movie franchise in the… [Continue Reading]

The Mummy (2017) Review – Meh

Oh hey, Medic’s late to reviewing a movie! Oh well, doesn’t matter, I might end up saving you a few quid. The only reason I went was because The Mummy, the first film of Universal Studios’ new Dark Universe series, was the only film on at 10pm on a Saturday at my local movie place. The four of us (me, my siblings and my cousin) had already seen the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie. While Pirates of the Caribbean movie was a standard kids’ movie making money off an already existing franchise and merchandise that I didn’t feel mentioning,… [Continue Reading]

Grim Dragons – A 2D Dragon in a 3D World

Every so often, I’ll go to the search function on the Steam store and type in the word ‘dragon’ to see what comes up. Normally it’s the same old same old. Dragon’s Dogma. Skyrim. Dragon Age. Dragonball games. Far Cry 3 – Blood Dragon. Then there’s the stuff which is most likely good, but I don’t want to play. That Dragon, Cancer is probably absolutely amazing, but I’m trying to escape reality, not be reminded of it. Most games with the search term are either JRPGs, RPG games of some sort, or side-scrolling games. Assuming that you actually get to… [Continue Reading]

You Can Finally Be Nude in Star Trek Online Again

Warning! Censored images of naked people in this article. Turn back if you’re at work! The nude mod for Star Trek Online can trace its roots all the way back to 2012, when it was originally made by a GVZ user who went by the names meehee and thefunkyone, before his mods went offline due to the home forum shutting down. Lucky for us, somebody shared the file with budding modder Password42, who updated it for the (then) current game. He maintained it until February 2016, when changes to Star Trek Online’s underlying programming made it inherently unstable. Then it went offline,… [Continue Reading]

Sven Coop – A 2017 Review

Yesterday I realized that I’m never playing the original Half-Life again. It’s one of my favorite single-player games of all time, and I have hundreds of hours in in from various playthroughs. It was the first game I ever tried to mod (to varying degrees of success, though none of my attempts were ever released to the internet) and its artstyle and gameplay will forever hold a special place in my heart. But I just installed Sven Coop and discovered that it contains the original Half-Life playable in multiplayer! Completely for free, you can go enjoy Half-Life 1 right now! Apparently Sven… [Continue Reading]

Yet Another Shitty Eternal Beta Dragon Game

I’m pissed off. I’m always pissed off, but that’s not the point. I don’t want much from my stupid existence on this tiny, gods-forsaken planet, but what I do want is a half-decent game where I can play as a dragon and do dragony things, like burn villages and kill people. As a concept, it sounds really simple. It could make a fucking huge amount of money, like Goat Simulator but preferably good. Heck, it would make an amazing MMO game or an RPG. Preferably in 3d because dragons are big creatures who fly around a lot, and flying around… [Continue Reading]

A Different Sort of Review – The NES Classic Mini

Sometimes, we review weird things, but these things are mostly just games and the occasional visual novel or movie. Me in particular, I am not the sort of person to review anything Nintendo related. But for my dad’s birthday, we got him a Nintendo Entertainment System Classic Mini. My dad grew up with games like Super Mario and all that. Mostly just Super Mario to be honest, but Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter and Double Dragon were also there. As he grew older, he moved onto the FIFA football games and the Tekken series. These days, he sees even games like… [Continue Reading]

Army Gals – Visual Novel Review

I’m still not sure why I decided to buy a visual novel for the first time, I guess it was something of an impulse buy since I was just bored of all my current games. It’s possible you’ve noticed, considering I’ve contributed only one article this April. But I was scrolling through the New Releases on Steam, saw Army Gals was both brand new and discounted and thought “Eh, why not?” Army Gals is the most recent release from Dharker Studio, a Kickstarter-funded company who releases visual novels that come with off-Steam patches to add nudity and adult content for those… [Continue Reading]

Medic’s First Time in Planetside 2

You ever get that feeling where you’re supposed to be doing something, like attacking the objective, but aren’t? Or are doing it in a way that totally isn’t helpful? Or are completely lost and supposed to be doing something? Well, that’s how I feel about Planetside 2. Before we start, I joined the purple guys. Their space suits looked cooler. And I have to agree with aabicus, their butts are nicer too. Of course, I decided to play the tutorial. Which kinda made sense, I think. Aabicus, the resident person who plays Planetside 2, decided to bring me along into… [Continue Reading]
