Why Can’t I Get Into Destiny 2?

As of writing, the Guardian Games are happening in Destiny 2, and my brother said I should give it a go again. So I grabbed my Warlock and decided to jump in and do a few strikes, take a look around, things like that. I managed to grab the new Guardian Games weapons, and one of them does Strand damage, which is interesting. I had some fun playing the couple of strikes we did, but after that, I was content and put the game down again. When will I next play Destiny 2? Will I play Destiny 2 on my… [Continue Reading]

Nowhere Left to Hide

Quick note: this article contains some sort of spoiler for Destiny 2 and its next major update. Read on if you are not afraid of spoilers. Destiny 2’s lore is often drawn out and somewhat hard to find. However, as the conclusion to the Witch Queen and season 19, things are a little too easy to find. Every major update gets an end of season cinematic, but Witch Queen is ending in a different way. A massive way. Something so powerful that even I, a complete noob and ultra casual player, had to watch it multiple times. After so long… [Continue Reading]

Why can’t I get into Destiny 2?

I really want to like and play Destiny 2. But recently, I’ve just been somewhat sitting on the outskirts, not actually playing the game at all. Sure, I watched that big announcement on Lightfall. I saw them showing off this place on Neptune, I watched them unveil Strand as their next Dark subclass. And I liked all of it. It was all pretty darn cool. But there’s something that troubles me. No matter how much cool stuff I see in Destiny 2, I just… can’t seem to get in game and play. Even when I do have friends to play… [Continue Reading]

The New PvP Game Mode – Rift

I don’t normally play PvP stuff. But Destiny 2 has the habit of putting random PvP stuff into quests. The Rat King exotic quest required players to all use the same pistol, for example. And on the second week of this new season, Lord Saladin is back (already) with objective-based gameplay for us to all fight over. However, due to paying for someone else’s fuck up, Saladin now basically works for Empress Caiatl on her War Council. And while he’s there, he’s picked up a new 6v6 game mode for us: Rift. Capture the Flag with a twist Rift is… [Continue Reading]

Let Me Put Shaders On Everything in Destiny 2

Destiny 2’s cosmetic system is pretty alright. It’s slowly improved over the years, but with transmogifying armour pieces, we can really make cool looks for ourselves. And we finally don’t have to turn legendary shards into individual colour shaders now. The original implementation of cosmetics in Destiny 2 were insane. These days though, even F2Players can at the very least make themselves look alright. However, like all cosmetics, we can go further and deeper. The technology is there, we just need to believe.   Shaders for everything Admittedly, there isn’t much left in Destiny 2 that you can use a… [Continue Reading]

Season of the Haunted – Moon’s Haunted, the Sequel

The Moon in Destiny 2 is a scary place. It’s nothing but ruins, infested with crimson-armoured Hive. All across the planet, dimly glowing ghosts linger around, trapped and lost. The only thing worth going there for is to kill lots of Hive in a cold, desolate space. And to make matters worse, it turns out there’s a massive dark pyramid buried under the Moon’s surface. While it remains dormant, there have been rumbles of darkness leaking out, and the whole environment is a dangerous mess. But somehow, with Destiny 2’s Season of the Haunted, the Moon has only gotten scarier.… [Continue Reading]

Little Things That Bug Me in Destiny 2

With a new season just coming out, it’s back to farming for levels and bounties, mixed up with some new story stuff and a new 6-player mission. However, I’m taking a quick break from said season, because there are some things that are bothering me about Destiny 2, and I wasted most of my energy trying to get to rank 100 on the previous season pass. Anyway, here are some things that annoy the hell out of me. Ledge Grabbing Destiny 2 has ledge grabbing. If you are a tiny bit short on a jump, you can grab onto the… [Continue Reading]

A Mad Dash to the Finish Line in Destiny 2

Around about now, the Season of the Risen in Destiny 2 is coming to an end. Originally, after I finished up with the Witch Queen, I kinda just decided I was done with Destiny 2 for a bit, and went to play something else. However, I had failed to realize that there was something I wanted in the premium season pass: a cool emote. An emote right at the very end of the current season pass. At the time, I kinda said I wouldn’t do it. I didn’t fancy grinding up a whole season pass, and I wasn’t sure that… [Continue Reading]

An Addiction to the Jump Key

If you have been browsing the Daily SPUF for a while, you may have noticed that our chief editor hates anything to do with parkour, platforming and jumping puzzles. Before any sort of parkour can be done, there’s always some hesitation. After all, most games kill you if you fall into a pit. However, despite my uneasy parkour ‘skills’ (I am not skilled in any way), there’s something odd about how I play video games. I rarely have my feet firmly planted on the ground. In fact, when I move around, I probably jump too much. But why? Why am… [Continue Reading]

How Does This Jump Jetpack Thing Even Work?

I like my Warlock in Destiny 2. While I keep my yellow Exo covered up at all times, I’ve had the Exo for so long that I don’t mind how yellow and ugly my character looks. Not only that, but I enjoy the gameplay and the abilities of Warlocks too. My current favourite is Void Warlock, and I am working on a build so I can throw more grenades on the regular. However, there is one thing I despise about my Warlock. What the fuck is this jumping ability? I’ve been playing Destiny 2 for a while and I still… [Continue Reading]
