Mega Garchomp Raid Day

November 11th featured the first Raid Day in a long time, involving a new Mega Pokemon, Mega Garchomp. While we did have a Gible Community Day a few years back, this event allowed us to finally Mega Evolve the Garchomps we’ve had for so long, as well as the chance to catch some more Garchomps. The Garchomps had a chance to be shiny, and you got up to 5 free raid passes by spinning gyms. There were plenty of raids to be had. As a somewhat new feature, each raid would last 1 hour, and, after the raid ended, a… [Continue Reading]

GO Fest 2023 – Day 2

Day Two of GO Fest is always a bit more relaxed compared to day one. Mostly. While day one mostly focused on Diancie and collection challenges, day two focused on a lot more raids and featured Mega Rayquaza. Now, Mega Rayquaza is a pretty big thing. It’s so powerful that, in competitive Pokemon battling in the main games, Mega Rayquaza has to be banned. It’s hugely powerful and can completely nullify its weaknesses. In Pokemon GO, it’s not as powerful, but it still does an absolute ton of damage, to the point that it’s one of the most powerful Pokemon… [Continue Reading]

Axew Community Day

Despite having a debut in 2022 during that year’s GO Fest, Axew Community Day is a welcome one. Axew has been a semi-rare Pokemon for ages, only really appearing in windy weather, and it’s been hard to farm candies for them. This Community Day finally allowed us to get our hands on a very popular shiny Pokemon. A fun day For me, I had a great day. We played in a group of six, which is actually quite a lot for a Community Day here, at least post-pandemic*. We wandered around town hall, making use of the plenty of shade… [Continue Reading]

Medic Plays A Real Pokemon Game for the First Time – Part 17

I don’t know why, but it never occurred to me that maybe, just maybe, all the gym leaders would also want a go at challenging Leon the champion. After all, you have to fight an elite four before you face the champion in other Pokemon games, so of course we have something similar here. Well, I say that, I didn’t know the gym leaders were also the elite 4. I dunno, it’s weird. I’ve just beaten my rivals and now I’m fighting the gym leaders I already beat. Except this time, they are actually trying, and they also want a… [Continue Reading]

Medic Plays A Real Pokemon Game for the First Time – Part 14

Okay! Dragon Gym time! I’ve always been a fan of dragon types but I actually don’t have many dragon types, aside from a noibat in a box somewhere. No, Toxel isn’t a dragon type. I’ve been a tad worried about this gym fight, mostly because I have no idea how many dragons I’ll have to fight, and I don’t have any strong ice Pokemon. I do have Snore, the Shiinotic I caught for the Dark Gym, who is a fairy type. However most dragons tend to breathe fire or have metal claws, and both are lethal to my little mushroom.… [Continue Reading]

Gible Community Day

What’s that? A Community Day with a very popular Pokemon? It can’t be! But it is! After months of unusual choices, we have returned to a Pseudo-legendary Pokemon. Gible Community Day! And because we’ve got such a good Pokemon for this Community Day, we all went a bit crazy. The bonuses were x3 catch experience, 3 hour incense and 3 hour lure models. Spawns were plentiful and incense did spawn plenty of Gibles. About half way through, I noticed some other spawns leaking in, like a Rhyhorn, some Whismur from my incense and some Arons (of course). But the spawns… [Continue Reading]

On Catching Dragon Types

Dragon types are super rare in Pokemon GO. Most types of Pokemon have one or two specimens that spawn on a regular basis. In the current Season of Legends, the only noticeably missing type, aside from Dragon, is Dark. Ice types can be rather rare, but Pokemon like Spheal and Swinub do appear occasionally. But aside from that, you can find most of each type. Dragons on the other hand are pretty much always never around. You’ll be lucky to see one a week, unless there’s an event going on. There’s no common dragon type. Every other type has a… [Continue Reading]

My Favourite Skyrim Dragon Textures

This article was originally going to be one of those articles. You know, the articles we have about nude mods. In fact, we have quite a few articles about Skyrim’s nude mods, but none actually recommending actual nude mods. There is plenty of choice when it comes to Skyrim nudity, but I’m not actually that well versed in it. I just got the most common female body mod, installed one of its many versions and called it a day. And I couldn’t even remember what it was called. I had to open up Mod Organizer to check it out. Once… [Continue Reading]

Why Is It So Hard To Make A Dragon Game And Why Doesn’t Spyro Scratch That Itch?

My dream game has always been simple: a 3d open world sandbox-ish game where you fly about as a dragon, fighting enemies and collecting loot to decorate your cave. Basically something like Saints Row but with dragons instead of gangs. Sure, I could eventually build something like this myself, but frankly building that sort of thing is an enormous task and I’m not very good at things like 3d animating, coding, using game engines and game design itself to be able to do that. If I were to make such a game, it’d probably end up being stupidly easy as… [Continue Reading]

A Quick Glance at the Spyro Reignited Trilogy

Everyone here knows that I love dragons, but it might be a bit of a surprise to hear that I was never really a massive Spyro the Dragon fan. Sure, I liked the games and had a few of them, but my first Spyro experiences were demo discs and Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly, which was one of the worst games of the early series, slow, laggy and taking five or more minutes to get to each level. I never played the newer series, but from what I’ve seen, I’m not missing out on much, although the free-flying in the last… [Continue Reading]
