4 Last Minute Preparations for the New War

Finally, after way too much hype and too many setbacks, the New War is finally on its way. With a somewhat unknown release date in December, the New War promises to be the biggest update ever. With so much going on, it’s understandable that we will need to do things before we jump straight into the New War.

Here’s a small list of things you’ll need to do before starting the New War.

Ready your Necramech

I’m like 99% certain that part of the New War will involve Orphix enemies. These Sentient bosses can kick you out of your Warframe, forcing you to move on foot. But why move on foot when you can summon a Necramech? That however needs a lot of work. Not only do you need to level up with the Entrati on Deimos, but you also need to level up with Loid as well, to be able to build your own Necramech. However, you only need to get to level 3 with Loid, and building your first Mech will grant you the Mausolon, an amazing Archwing gun.

If you have the Platinum though, you can just buy and trade Necramech stuff from other people. Heck, there’s a bundle in the market for a fully built Necramech.

Ready your Railjack

Luckily, Railjacks are much easier to use. They are a struggle at first, when you don’t have them leveled up. But once you have a Railjack at level 30, all you need are a handful of mods, and off you go. Most of the mods in Railjack are common ones too. So you don’t need to do too much to build your first Railjack. It’s mostly just following the quest.

Speaking of quests, the Rising Tides quest which introduces your Railjack is very simple. The quest was originally stuck between building items and getting resources. Now, the quest is way, way, way easier. To the point that Railjack parts finish building in minutes.

However, building components like guns and plating can be a tad tricky. I’d recommend joining a public group and getting some mods and gear from those missions as well. As long as you have an Archwing and Archguns, you can join Railjack missions as you please.

Look back at previous quests

If your knowledge of Warframe lore is a bit iffy, then it’s worth spending some time catching up. Most quests are now re-playable, so you can refresh your memory. It’s not always obvious what you’re missing out on, but at the least you can skim through some of the quests.

The quests I recommend re-playing are Natah, the Second Dream, the War Within, Chains of Harrow, the Sacrifice and the three shorter pre-war teasers. If you don’t have time, at least look at Erra’s cinematics, as a super quick catch-up tool.

There are also required quests that you need to play, if you haven’t done them already. The important ones are Rising Tides (to get your Railjack) and the introduction quest for Deimos. You’ll also need to finish the big main story quests: Second Dream, The War Within and the Sacrifice.

Make your Operator look good

The last thing you should do however, is dress up your Operator. It’s highly likely that we’ll be seeing a lot of our Operator, in cut scenes or otherwise. Some of these cinematic scenes take your Operator’s helmet off, revealing a standard human head within. So it’s important to make sure that your Operator doesn’t look like a horrific mess.

Well, unless the horrific mess is what you want.

Honestly, we’ve been kept in the dark so long, no one knows what is going to happen. I just hope that it’ll be good…
